Question to players

Let's say this game was based on ranking. So you have either bronze, silver and gold ranks. So those ranks are spread on:
How much damage you do
Healing on time
Not over healing too much.
DPS actually use a rotatio and do damage as they should do, hence dps.
Tanks using cooldowns proppely, holding aggro
Healers dpsing
Tanks doing a decent amount of damage.

Now let's pretend you are very good so you end up with silver and gold rank players, but if you are bad you end up with only bronze players. Which means people who do blizzard spam etc in dungeons, healers clicking every 10 seconds. Yes even farm groups will end up you being with the same skilled people, so you have 5 wipes a row in farms then maybe 1-2 kill between. Would this be unfair for you all? Or would it be fair?
Basically you have a huge chance of ending up with same minded players, so if you don't aoe in dungeons, you will meet the same type of players in dungeons.

For PvP purposes placing people of similar skill level together makes sense to give them a chance to figure things out before they get roflcoptered into the ground.

For PvE purposes I'd troll the crap outta your group for the giggles alone with this system. And remember no complaining while I do it, we'd be the same "rank" after all, so I know what I'm doing and you need to get with the program.

lol What tool? Segregation? That's all this is. If you don't want to chance playing with a player that's not up to your standards you shouldn't be queueing up with random people. The solution is to develope your social skills and make friends with people you want to play with.

Is it Sargons Law or simply understanding that people who view themselves as betters often look down at others as peasants while standing above them and not wanting to mix with them though? Hmm.

And yes, lazy anti-socials have rights too. They have the right to be treated just like everyone else and not get any special treatment.

In my own minds eye I can see opposing viewpoints from people that aren't like that at all, in yours that's apparently not the case and have plastered it on everyone that might disagree with me.

If this is the case, work to be better on communicating your mind's eye into your arguments.

Your own apparent disdain for "lazy dps" being perceived as getting unfair special treatment speaks for itself on this matter.

I have no disdain for "lazy dps". I merely find it unfair that dps is the only role that can get away with being lazy in a way tanks and healers cannot be, as any objective measure of their contributions as dps is considered harassment.

Ranking systems in games are usually competitive. Dropping your rank deliberately gets you easier matches and effectively lets you stomp on newbies or players well below you.

While I'm sure you could do it in a cooperative game... what's the point? You'd be putting yourself into a lower rank to get slower dungeons because reasons?
