Odd things about the Forums website

It's odd that if I start on the English Forums, and edit my profile, I'm sent back to the Japanese forums, rather than back to the English ones. Odd, don't you think?

And it's odd that once I reach my profile there is no easy way back in the top list of buttons? Something like "Forums". I can go to New Posts, but not just back to read the forums. In the language that I was using.

And it seems odd that I can't ask a question in the forums until I'm level 30. I have a level l30 character, but I set another one who happened to be level 27, and it said I was too lower a level to post. By the time I'm level 30, I've found reddit or other sources to answer my questions that don't have "age restrictions". Seems like these forums would want to answer questions by lower level players rather than turning them away.. Just a thought.

I'm not sure what to say about the profile issues, although it should be noted the forum software is not SE's own software, but proprietary software known as VBulletin so they're limited by what the software allows them to do.

As for the posting restrictions, that is not a bug but deliberate. It was implemented to try and avoid a repeat of the rampant spamming that occurred during the Beta Test on the special Beta forums (where SE also implemented similar restrictions to stop that spamming). Alas as much as I agree it is annoying to deal with it, the restrictions are not too difficult to deal with (they're directly tied with your in game level, reaching level 50 and higher allows you to make to make the most posts per day, although you are still limited to 20 posts a day).

Incidentally the level restriction does not count when posting in the New Players section or the technical support/bug report sections. SE explained about the posting restrictions when they were implemented upon the game's launch, which can be found here.
