It does lower the value of the item (in my opinion) if it's not at least available on all my characters. I imagine anyone with more than one character or playing on more than one server feels the same way.

Kiiind of off-topic but, is there a place where I can read the shipping policies? I wanna see prices and if they can ship it to my country. Thanks in advance.
i can't recall where it was said - either in a live letter or a q&A session where they said there are some kind of technical hurdles in having codes account wide instead of char only. it's much easier for them on their end to make it character only. could be a business decision, could be a dev resources decision. maybe with all the things that have been account wide - starting a new char can be a big burden on the system because you have tons of crap to go through your mail when you start one.

They could just try to implement a system where characters don’t receive those items until they prompt the game to send them to them (via the “Request Reward Delivery” button) if it was such a strain on the system. But this change was implemented with little to no communication from SE about it, and I think that’s what’s irritating a lot of people.i can't recall where it was said - either in a live letter or a q&A session where they said there are some kind of technical hurdles in having codes account wide instead of char only. it's much easier for them on their end to make it character only. could be a business decision, could be a dev resources decision. maybe with all the things that have been account wide - starting a new char can be a big burden on the system because you have tons of crap to go through your mail when you start one.

I totally get the system getting overwhelmed...I mean I just made an alt and received over 40 letters with accountwide and vet reward stuff.....It's a bit much. But they should communicate better then...
"Within each of us, the potential for great power waits to be released."

Forget the minion; I want Yotsuyu's gear to glamour up my BLM!
"But please. Call me Bae."
The White Witch of Okami Rojo.
Things like fantasia, class & story jump potions, & dye, makes sense to be limited to one character. A lot of the other stuff only makes sense to limit to one character for money grubbing purposes.
I get it, though personally don't like it. I mean people will buy the stuff multiple times over. I won't, I won't even buy most of the stuff once because it's 1 character only, but others will.
If SE doesn't want even more of my money thrown at them because they want to money grub from people willing to spend it several times over for multiple characters who am I to complain? It just means I spend that money elsewhere.

I was thinking about the art book but after this SE won't be getting my money anymore!...
Square Enix may have unlimited excuses about everything but that doesn't make them any better, I choose not to believe any reason they'd give players about why they can't make a code account-wide instead of single-character!...
I can't wait for the next Final Fantasy Online, FFXIV won't be getting any better with such old looking graphics, it's getting so cheap actually that I don't mind it going Free To Play, I would spend even less coin on it that way, that said I won't support the Cash Shop anymore!...![]()

I don't like this change. If they absolutely must go forward with it, the minions better be on the mogstation. I don't use all the possible character slots but I like having all of my characters have the same minions I've 'earned' with a purchase when that has been standard operating procedure for near 4 years now.
