Role Play Servers?

Anyone know a good Role Play server?

I play on Midgardsamor and Leviathen sometimes, but.... not sure if people role play on those. Any recommendations would be helpful! Wanted to try getting into it.

I don't RP myself, so I can't say how well Mateus fares for it, but Balmung is locked so

Mateus is the current 'open' roleplay server, though I do know that several others have smaller communities that just don't gain much traction. Just pop an alt onto Mateus and see if you like it. ^^

I have seen roleplaying going on on Midgard and have had a friend have several walk ups (though he's not interested). Maybe look for roleplay linkshells or Free Companies. There should be role players scattered everywhere.

Balmung's the biggest, but closed until the entire world's population decreases to a stable level.

Mateus is currently the "open" NA Datacenter RP server that RPers have been using and Omega is also an option for EU Datacenter.

There are little pockets of RP on most servers, but experiences may vary from a single group to maybe a couple linkshells/free companies. Jenova probably has the next largest semi-coordinated efforts. Lodestone is a good place to search, as well as the Hydaelyn Roleplayers Coalition (RPC) site and Tumblr.

RPC does basic acitivity checks every 2 months, so these groups -should- be around. (There are also listings for Balmung, Mateus, and Omega too. Most RPers have left Gilgamesh, but some are probably around too.)

For europe there's some people on Omega, not an endless amount, but you'll certainly find roleplayers and there is pretty frequent events and stuff
