Packet loss at any time of the day, huge lag in the EU evening

Since 4.1 the lag has been gorwing and growing to the point I've lost a few millions on macroed crafts due to game skipping skills (4.1 HQ craft gear going NQ as the server skipped quality skills......... A refund should also be awarded if you ask me).

Yesterday static farm had to be interrupted as we were dying on safe zones to Neo Exdeath mechanics, sometimes character weren't moving either as if the server was not getting informations from client. It usually just rushes to resync after around 1-2 seconds, failing anything in between, like combo chains, bosses mechanics and so on.

Almost all of my static is experiencing this.

I used tracert through cmd to ping EU servers at 195.82.50.44 and it looks just fine as of now, I'll try tracking in the evening while huge spikes will start (as I'm sure they will).

Note that me and all of my static live in Italy, have tethered connections on fiber ISP service, good hardware and such, we also all live in different areas so it's not a local problem.

You might want to check this out as there's many reporting the issue.

It looks like this issue adds up to the slow server tic making a it a sure death in raids.

Can you elaborate on the kind of disconnect you are having?

Please provide:

- When the disconnects started occurring
- Platform (PC, PS4, Mac)
- Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect (if any)
- Type of connection (wired or wireless)
- Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
- Frequency at which disconnect occurs
- Where you are booted to after disconnect (Desktop, Start Screen, Character Select)

What Server/Data Center are you on? It may be possible that going to more populated sections may result in the disconnections for you (by exacerbating existing connection issues), however this is only speculation.

-There's no disconnection ever occuring, just long lag spikes (up to 2-3 seconds), packet losses causing skill chains to break or just not activating completely (like suiton not triggering Trick Attack on NIN), deaths from mechanics in safe zones etc.
-Platform is PC
-None
-Wired, ethernet on fiber
-None in particular
-Lags happen almost every evening, often through the whole day too
-No disconnects

I'm on Phoenix, Chaos.

As I said it's not just me, it's my whole static and you might want to check the reddit link in my OP to see how many are experiencing this.

We've had random lags yesterday night too, I've tried using a VPN (PingZapper) and zet nothing changed.

Tracert said there was not a single problem with the route, as pings were similar to the ones in the OP.

What could be interesting to notice is that we were in Discord with people not actually playing with us (not in the group) and we were calling out lag spikes all together, as is if it was server related; we were in V4s while a guy was in some other levelling dungeon and while we got the 1-2 seconds freeze with skills rushing to resync after the delay, he was experiencing the same too, although he's living in a different region and although he was in a different dungeon.

Something must be going on with SE servers I suppose.

We've also have had a general talk with a few players from my linkshells and we all agreed it started happening brutally since 4.18, the BRD harp update, or a few days far from it, when FF XIV undergone maintenance to let your ISP update something.

When reading this i think we should make an list and try to compare our lag times, im at the point where i dont wanna craft rare stuff because my macros could break anytime... its no fun.

Can confirm, yesterday during a savage farm with our static i disconnected 5 times in less than 1 hour. After disconnecting 3 times I followed what SE support suggests, I followed other guide on reddit and so on. Immediately after doing these fixes and logging back in I disconnected again. I did notice a larger than usual packet loss on the connection. It's also not the first time this happened, it happened multiple times over the last years got really bad a couple of months ago. So either the game has no way to handle small packet loss or there's a major problem with the CSP square enix uses for the game.
I think that with the amount of people these disconnects and packet losses happen to it's highly unlikely that this is a front end issue.
The other bad part about disconnecting is that the game decides to even punish you harder, you lose LB, you lose resources, crafting materials, takes ages before you're able to log back in cause half of the times your character is still logged in.
For a game that requires a lot of movement during fights and where a single LB can be the difference between clear or enrage these connection issues need to be solved as soon as possible

can confirm the lag i had it for a few weeks but the last few days were fine but when i logged on today the lag was back and i play on ps4.
