Veteran rewards suggestion

Since the veteran rewards having been removed a lot of people do have basically a useless currency my idea was:

Add Mogstation items to the exchange like:

- Fantasia
- Scions attire
- metallic/ jet black and pure white dies
- housing items
- past event rewards

This would help allot of people which do not have the option to buy items off the mogstation.

You won't find anyone that is against this idea, but...

I don't expect the developers would willingly cut off one of their own means of added revenue for our benefit alone.

I totally get that, yet if they add a certain limit to it, it still would satisfy those which cant afford it and the cash shop still would work, people still will buy. Yet if you have lost an event due to other important matter in life it would be just fair if there was a chance for the people to get it after wards. Its not completely free since we do monthly subscribe.

It's a nice idea. The limit would be the amount of achievements we can earn, so with the correct prices they can adjust the amount of "free stuff" they would be giving us. Even though we don't have to we all still get one fantasia for free, so I don't see why the most active players couldn't be rewarded similarly.

The person with the most achievement points currently has just above 15k achievement points, which is 300 tokens. Most people are probably at under 200 tokens. If the fantasia potion were priced at 100 tokens then most would only get one.

I've honestly thought the same. At least on adding the fantasia to the achievement shop, even if it was given some absurd amount (like 1k or so points for 1 fantasia) or a limit per week/month. That way people who have a desperate need to fantasia all the time can still go and purchase it off the Mogstation. Same for any of the Mogstation only glamours.

If anything, it would be nice if they added more stuff to the exchange shop in general no matter if it's a Mogstation item or not, since people who had the old veteran rewards system already have everything from the current list of items (and if they happen to make alts, they get the 20something mogmail messages of all the old rewards), making the shop pretty much useless unless they happen to toss an item out for some reason.

if anyone is smart - they will hoard achievement certificates for a unique reward introduced down the line. you will be kicking yourself if you spent it all on fantasia or dye. =p

Something would be nice, i received my last vet reward sometime ago. It just seems very very low priority atm for the new system of rewards
Personally i would have loved retainers implemented as a reward

I like this idea a lot, and honestly I'd just be fine with being able to buy the past event items. I don't like that, just because someone someone missed an event from a few years ago, they have t o spend $5 on a couple of empty boxes or a tree.

Things like the Scion outfits, mounts, and minions, I'm personally fine leaving to the cash shop though.

I would not like to see Mog Station items made available in-game. It'd mean less money for Square Enix.

You will find someone. It's in that other mog station items ingame thread, but the suggestion of the OP is pretty much the same with a different implementation.

Always reminds me of those labor unions that lobby for lower wages and contractual unpaid overtime.

If they want to do mog station items that's fine, but I'd rather achievement points be spendable on their own pool of items. Don't get me wrong, toss the whole mog station into that pool if you want, but I think it would be more interesting if it had it's own set of choices, at least in part. I mean, it would be a GREAT vehicle to start introducing more previous-FF related items, priced in a way you could always be sure to earn the points for them. Glamours for characters we don't have yet, and maybe with more choices for female characters too this time. But I'm certainly not opposed to not having to spend real money either of course.
