Diversion isn't trash just because Lucid Dreaming/Elusive Jump/Tactician/Refresh are better. Its designed to be used before your burst. If youre popping it when you already have ripped from the tank then youre doing it wrong.I never said it's mp restoration was trash, only that it's trash cause it's like quelling strikes. An instant drop is so much more useful then reducing enmity generation, that's why diversion is also garbage. If the mt dies and you're now top of the threat list that cd does nothing for you. Ast isn't even a class that can burst enough where u would rly need a quelling strikes, so i think you're just trying to nitpick here.
Let me pop lum aether for this sick Collective i'm about to do.. said no one ever.
Seems like SE didn't think it was fine either cause they're buffing the enmity generation reduction and doubling the duration in 4.2.. bc currently it is, well trash. They were vague with healer adjustments but it doesn't seem like esuna or protect made it back in native kits or they would have said something in reference to role actions, along with diversion. Feels bad, but still hoping.
Well I suppose you're right. Usually it went more like "Oh wow, Thordan/Alexander just decided to smite me for the enmity I generated during Ultimate End/Divine Judgement. Guess I should do something about that."
No arguments here. So long as there are insta-death mechanics in the game that can be countered with Esuna, then it shouldn't be an optional role action. They should have just lowered the level scholars received it to bring them into parity with the other two healers.
Plus as a whm, the role actions aren't really choices. We lost so much to that system and we didn't get anything to replace some things, like Divine Seal.
I cast protect and switch to E4E because otherwise it is a wasted slot. At least I will use E4E 10 times as much. I personally slot Swift, Esuna, E4E, Largesse, and Lucid.
