It would be cool if we could manually change the order of our emotes. Or at least have a top 10 favorite emotes. I dont even use more than a fifth of them and having to sift through the list is taxing.

Ya, the emote list is a pain to go through cause the order makes no sense.

It doesn't help that a lot of the emotes emote something completely different than what you thought it would based on what it's called. Whether it makes sence in other languages or not is still a mystery to me (hense why I only use less than a fifth of them).
To help with this particular issue, I proposed the following change:
custom text binding (go take a look and like the post)
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
In the past, we have looked into organizing emotes alphabetically, but since we were unable to organize them based on each language, we decided to pass on this route. We are now looking into preparing different categories and arranging them in that way.

I hope you will do custom text binding too at some point. Would be much simpler for many of us and enable easier emote-response for roleplaying.![]()

I understand where you are coming from with this and I even enjoy roleplaying, myself. However, if they bind emotes to certain expressions it will really become quite a bother to others looking to chat while having some sort of discretion in public (especially when speaking in Linkshells, parties etc.). I have seen it become an issue on other MMOs, which is why I wanted to reply with my own personal experience and opinion.
Although I wouldn't be totally against the idea of them having a 'phrase-bind' toggle on/off option for those who would like to endulge. ^^
You guys could just do sorts locally, being save at client. By saving them at client, even personalized sorts would work perfectly, allowing players to manually sort the emotes if they feel like doing this.
Hmm categories, interesting in theory, can't wait to see how that plays out. Thanks for the update![]()
