Are people really like this?

I saw a pf made, which specified pc players only and when I asked why I got this response :

It made me feel kinda sad really. Some people may not have the funds or technical knowledge to keep a pc up-to-date, and there are other reasons too. I did wonder how they intended to vet party members, and if their disgust stretched far enough to stop them playing roulettes.

That is just sad. "PC Master Race" should stay a joke.

Back in the day of PS3, I would see groups refuse PS3 players because players were often seen as having too much lag to reliably complete mechanics. But I've never seen someone refuse PS4 players because of some grudge against the console market.

Unfortunately, there are troglodytes like that but by and large the majority of people are not. Thankfully. The one good thing about them being open about their bias is that there is less time you have to deal with them before you go on your way.

This is sad, and even more sadly enough there are alot of people like this. Not usually this bold with a pc party only...which makes zero sense.

They will only know once you are in the instance if it's cross world. When you exam people's gear, if they are PS4 players, it shows their gamertag in the bottom right corner under the job stone.

True to a point, though if you're playing on PC the gamertag doesn't display to PC users, it only shows up for other PS4 users, so they couldn't tell if they are playing on PC to begin with, they would need to be on PS4 to see who else is playing on PS4.

I understand his standing, I ditched home consoles in favor of the much superior PC gaming a long time ago, I don't repent at all and I doubt I will ever go back to Sony or Microsoft!...

There's much hate amongst the players in this game, one asking for PC players only is not worse than those asking for the highest item levels which many just don't have or are unable to obtain because they come from raiding!...

First time I saw a PC only, have seen multiple 'console only' fc and ls out there. The difference is when us PC players say it the response is...

It's kindda like those people who hate 'elitists' who expect at least a reasonable ilvl and grasp of your job works and then go crazy about playing their own way because "my sub" or "I don't have time" or w/e and want all things to cater to them. You know, elitists.

To be fair from a development standpoint console limitations do keep game technology down, many many game devs over the years have made that perfectly clear in statement after statement. But that's no reason to keep consolers out of your groups

isn't true. It's propaganda by the anti-PC gaming community who have never owned a gaming PC. It's no where nearly as costly to have a powerhouse of a PC as people say it is and it can even be said that if you are an avid gamer who plays and buys a lot of different games PC is cheaper simply due to the significantly lower per game cost and fewer subscription services to have to pay. You are not trading in new parts every few months, you update a piece here or there every few years. I play on both, prefer PC but definitely sink more money into console which is why I converted to almost solely PC at this point.

Not trying to make an argument either way, play on what you like, but trying to clear up that little piece of misinformation that is out there.

Well I can’t afford a gaming PC atm and my overheating laptop I do have won’t even run ffxiv. I’ve never had a problem with lag on my PS4 or doing mechanics in a dungeon. I’m a casual raider and haven’t got to the current stuff yet so idk if that will change at all. I have noticed though that I sometimes load in quicker than PC users so I can’t see why someone should discriminate me because I don’t have the money for a decent gaming PC...
