Then between the kinda shaky start for SB, all the content from 4.0x and 4.1, the holidays and the slew of stuff they're going to throw at us for 4.2 next month, I personally don't mind waiting for Eureka if it means not having a Diadem launch.
Personally, I have just stopped caring about Eureka because they have given me absolutely no reason to. I wager people would be somewhat satisfied with small updates. Show us what it looks like, an idea of what we'll be doing or explain why there have been frequent delays. Just a little form of transparency will go a long way for most people. The worst to happen is general apathy. Once people reach that stage, it becomes increasingly harder to win them back. I honestly see people unsubbing if Eureka flops. And not a low number either. They've done so little hyping it that anything short of amazing just isn't going to resonate well.

To be fair, 4.1 feels so lackluster because they focused virtually all their attention on niche content. Had they dropped any one of Perform, Rival Wings or Ultimate and said something along the lines of, "We apologize, but the vision we had for Eureka simply has a much larger scope than we anticipated. So we'll be releasing the initial relic step separately." I suspect people would be far less frustrated.
