Some of us do try to help. And then we get called an elitist. Then, when we stop helping because we get tired of being called an elitist, we are called an elitist again. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

If you see the other person as an equal and are genuine about your desire to assist them, you are not an elitist.

You become an elitist when anyone and everyone who doesn't meet your performance standards isn't worth your time.
