Mind this was FROM the end of HW, so you need to account for the missing skills. When in doubt with rotations, check the image search. This legit was at the top.
This is totally outdated and MCH works nothing like the old HW skillset.

I'm aware, it's my current DPS class. It's also the reason why I warned it was from the end of HW. I posted it because she said she couldn't find anything at all, and while it is severely outdated it can provide some minor insight that's better than starting from scratch.

Machinist changed a lot from HW, but use this as a starter.

Huh, another topic I agree with you on.

I'll admit, even though I want to and enjoy being a mentor, some days I wanna scream with how people act.
I've met people who's FCs literally ran them through without showing them proper rotation on their class and they run EX primals and Savage wondering why we arent passing it... then I try to explain their rotation and where to improve and all of a sudden I'm the bad one for trying to help.

Though there have been times where I'm on the other end of this. Got into a ex learning/clear party and asked the PF leader if it was okay I didn't clear yet. They said yes because two others didn't. Started, wiped because of something. Start at beginning again , the person who was apparently recruited to teach starts having a fit and cussing the PF leader out for her "having to actually explain something" when the pf stated what this group was gonna be. They continued to be toxic so pretty much everyone just left...

How can one teach what chooses not to learn? I've encountered some RDM's (hell, I've had people say "it's so refreshing to have a good RDM" to me once or twice, which came off as surprising considering how easy RDM is to learn) who just would not listen to my helpful advice, which was simply: Jolt -> Verthunder/Veraero and if proc'd, Verfire/Verstone/Impact -> Verthunder/Veraero. I don't even go into mentioning buffs, AoE's (unless Expert Roulette) or other things like that. I just want to see a newbie RDM know the right way to play the Job.

I have seen Verthunder Mages (and yes, it does make you think "surely they know they're doing something wrong...") once or twice and I have informed them the correct way to play RDM as kindly (and I try to make sure it doesn't come off as condescending) as possible :I

Honestly if you're going into Savage or really any current end-game content without a basic understanding of your rotation or what your skills do then you really shouldn't be running that stuff. Do the easier stuff until you get the hang of it. There is no shame in getting your bearings on an easier trial, or punching the dummy until you understand it.

I am perfectly willing and often do give small tips to people if they are in need of it, ask for it, or are willing to take it - however the latter two in that list are actually quite rare. In saying that, jumping straight into Savage or the latest primal isn't really the place to learn. Jump into a primal from a few patches ago before you try and tackle the meanest stuff out.

People are generally either competent enough with their jobs and just fail mechanically on fights, or have no clue and need to go back to the dummy or easier trials. The more difficult end-game content isn't the place to try out your new jobs for the first time. You have to walk before you can run, so put in the effort and learn how to walk first.

My point here isn't targetted at those who make mechanical fails in content - as that stuff you can only learn by doing said content..
However basic fundamentals of your job should be known well enough that you can hold your own without being told to do combo 1, then combo 2, then insert random buff here...

General rule of any job is working out the priority system. If buff X is falling off/down, then do combo X to apply. If it's up, then do Y... Just reading tooltips should give you enough of the knowledge you need to do your "rotation".

If anyone wonders why they aren't improving, or just can't seem to perform as well as others - then they likely just haven't put in enough time to learn and understand how their job works.
    1. Read the tooltips.
    2. Hit a dummy whenever you're standing around doing nothing (which is a lot of the time. Let's be real)..
    3. Get the hang of playing that job (or role) in the easier stuff, or the fights you feel confident in.
    4. Have a few goes at the harder stuff and see if you succeed.
    5. If you are still not up to scratch, then go back to step 1.

And when I say "hit the dummy" I mean really hit the dummy... Sit there for an unbroken 4-5 mins just hitting the thing. Casting a few spells or a few combos on the thing doesn't do anything. It's honestly how the better players learn and understand their jobs the depth that they do... If you're not a fan of parsers, then use Stone, Sky, Sea until you're improving your times.

That's both me venting, and my advice.

I'm sick of being told I need to teach. NO. I don't. I play casual content. I don't do Savage or extreme. If you can't play well enough to do okay in the stuff I run, and you don't have a physical or mental disability holding you back, then you're just lazy. There's only a million free F.A.Q.s and videos they can look up, so they need to stop acting like a google search isn't a thing, and get good on their own. If you prefer not reading dungeon guides, then whatever. What happens, happens.
