Your two statements are contradictory. Even "serious hunters" have to go eat, sleep, go to school and work. And that's besides the fact spawning S ranks has a lot of luck involved in it in the first place so even the serious hunters might miss the hunt just because of luck. And then these people show up, kill the S rank on their own, lie on the tracker, and the best way anyone else has to try and get on with that S rank's kill is to either stalk that group or waste their every waking hour trying to spawn that S rank and hope for the best. And if they're not doing that, according to too many people in this thread, they're leeches and don't deserve the kill in the first place.
No one here wants every single S rank kill, start reading the posts in the thread and stop going for the instant-anti-responses. SE didn't need to implement things in-game BECAUSE we had such good 3rd party utilities that didn't directly break the ToS. But now that those utilities don't work, by malicious intent, mind, we're asking for QoLs. I don't think it's unreasonable.

I guess I'm just bitter at those who keep expecting to get hunts and come in complaining after sitting around in their house for 15 minutes after call, and the mindset that people who spawn/find them HAVE to wait for others before killing, and getting shamed for not uploading timers.
I have nothing against them putting in some kind of timer in game. As I read before in here, something like the weather npcs would be decent I do agree.

This is not at all what this topic is about and I wish people would finally realize that.

I agree overall. The other day I solo'd an ARR A rank and it still took about 5 minutes from relaying to death. And THEN people showed up. Where were you for the past 5 minutes?!
As for that last part, regardless of what the devs intended hunting has long since became a community activity. Marking the kill on the tracker for many is considered common courtesy. It helps everyone not waste their time on a thing, or know they need to work towards a thing that is (possibly) open. And despite what everyone else says in here, it levels the playing field. Yes, hunting is a competition. But without rules and agreements it becomes a toxic cesspool rather than a sport.
