Hunts are a dumpster fire that should be removed from the game in their entirety; the toxicity surrounding them is the quickest way to go about changing someone's mind that XIV's community is better than any other. I wouldn't get my hopes up that SE will put any effort into addressing issues regarding them, QoL or otherwise.

In the unlikely event that a player pulls early, they are removed from the various hunt linkshells if they're a part of them.
Within reason, so long as hunts are tied to gear progression this is the way it should be. Even Savage-level players benefit when Tomestone upgrades are added to hunts.

This will never not irk me. Resetting was the only way to combat undesirables that used Guildwork's tracking, back when that was a thing, to be alerted to an S-rank spawning so they could come over and pull the thing without putting any work in themselves. It was usually the spawner or a veteran amongst the hunting community that reset, and yet they were ultimately the ones putting their account at risk. Not the people using third-party programs, putting up fairly offensive and troll-y PFs, and/or relaying hunts when they brought them down to 50%. Oh no, SE won't punish them.
