An example of why the ARR Hunts need an adjustment

How is it worse than XI's claim system where after 1st hit nobody outside your party could hit hunt at all, which resulted in claiming bots rampaging in all areas.
Honestly, if you are serious about hunts, you should get close to spawning parties or even become part of them, and you'll have all info you need. So far it works fine for me:

That on his server the people are purposefully not tracking (or incorrectly tracking) the S ranks, and not relaying them, so it makes it almost impossible for others who aren't in that elusive club to know what the spawn window is currently at.

Of course joining a spawn party would help...if they could find out what the spawn window was, or if they could find out how to join the existing spawners. Other servers are better about cooperating so more people can participate in spawning.

Your screenshot just shows that on your server (which it looks like you're on Odin and he's on Behemoth), you're probably all better at actually tracking correctly and reporting.

Imagine if tomorrow someone decided to go on your tracker (I'm assuming Ariyala/Odin) and decided to mark every single S rank as being dead. It'd be a similar experience to if no one was reporting when an S rank died at all because the window would always be inaccurate.

To the OP:
for the time being focus on the few S ranks that are not spawned by players.
example: Croakadile is spawned based on when the full moon comes. Get an android app called Eorzea clock (get an emulator if you don't have android) so you can see the moon phase.
example2: there's another one that's based on when the weather rains twice in a row. There is a website out there for that as well.

So at least for those it's based on the server, not on people, so if you show up whenever that happens, even if you can't know the window, at least you have a greater chance of seeing them.

I'm getting it. As I explained, it's not in our interests to give time of death just to see people spawn it without us next time. And they will spawn it without waiting because they care only about themselves, so why we shouldn't do the same? And we started doing it too now. A spawn war.

you should make a hunt ls with a membership fee of 100k per day or sth and link all s ranks there for lazy people :P

That does happen on the Ariyala tracker for Odin. One 3 person FC is accused of doing it.

You don't get to complain about having to always spawn hunts yourself and people always leeching, and then simultaneously complain about the inconvenience when other people spawn hunts. Huge contradiction dude. You have to either do the spawning work yourself or share information and have others do it too. Can't have it both ways. As someone on the same server I don't care either way as long as whatever goes in the trackers is accurate information and not false times of death.

Then I feel for you and the other people on your servers, to have such selfish people who think that way. Is it really that hard for spawners to relay to their friends first, wait a minute or two, then relay to other LSs (who will then relay to more LSs and thus spread the word)? That's what we do on the server I play. Because of that, a lot more people get S ranks and it gives us an incentive to keep the spawn windows accurate because we all benefit from other spawners doing the work, usually 20-40 people show up, enough that people on weak machines have to turn off other player animations if they don't want to lag.

Y'all should try it. Spawn wars are good for no one.

But the fact that spawn wars can be made because we have to keep relying on 3rd party timers is something that should be addressed, and honestly your "defense" just proves what the OP is having issues with - that people like you are making it difficult for others to participate in ARR (and probably HW) hunts. At least SB hunts are more welcoming just because they actually need more people to be there to be killed easily.

So - If they don't spawn the hunts, they are selfish and don't deserve the tiger. But if they DO spawn the hunts they are selfish and don't deserve the tiger. :thonking:
