I feel I must reply to the poster above mine, because you're simply put..wrong

Imagine you played bard at level 60 (last expansion, a reasonable assumption) and you leveled to 70, not completing your lvl 70 class quest to get refulgent arrow, which is a new ability. Troubadour does nothing for your DPS and the other skills are dots last longer, which one can argue doesn't necessarily effect your DPS in the same way as getting new rotational abilities does, we agree?

Just because that's the case for bard, that's not the case for every other class.

You took probably the only example that fit, and ran with it.

SAM doesn't get Kenki generation sorted until 62 -- until then, the class simply doesnt even begin to look like what it will at 70.

SMN gets Demi-Bahamut at 70, which completely changes the opener and the overall weigh of the rotation.
BLM doesn't get triple-casting until late 60ies.
RDM doesn't get Manafication and Verholy/Verflare until 60ish+ either.

So, I don't know what to tell you -- if you think all of ^ those are minor changes that have no real change to your dps or your overall rotation...

Nevermind the fact the original post I replied to was talking about level 50 and you arbitrarily changed it up to 60... but, still.
