For a new player that just hit 70 and done all content except savage, it is cruel that he/she are likely to be kicked/blacklisted after few attempts because of the poor design of the game. I've met some players doing abysmal DPS on savage and I believe most of them don't even know. SSS dummy fight is far from enough for meeting DPS check in real fight, not to mention that the fight isn't even gated behind SSS.

I have mixed feelings on this because even if the game does a poor job of teaching this stuff there ARE ample resources out there that will at least help get people to an acceptable level. People who want to play well can take the initiative to seek out the information they're missing.

A lot of those people who are doing things wrong in savage are confrontational and rude when any attempt is made to push them in the correct direction. I've seen PLDs explode in anger when told that they're expected to OT, a RDM argue over giving up a melee positional spot on O3S, etc. I don't believe it's simply a lack of availability of knowledge, but a lack of desire to change and adapt in their gameplay.
