that's...almost twice as much damage as most tanks I see do in normal. I know "that's normal mode" but I don't raid savage so just remarking at how that kind of damage is usually what the only dps that does more than myscrub booty(I don't do particularly well, just happen to usually be the SAM that breaks into the 3400-3800 range in said group and usually top or passed up by someone that does significantly better due to their experience and actually practicing) does. I have to wonder just how if that's "normal for savage" why I don't run into very many tanks of that caliber pugging around. you'd imagine they'd bleed into the general population, or queue a few runs to help a FC mate gear out a side job, or even just be gearing up their tank and have all this other experience from dps/grasp the skills really quickly after practicing on the dummy.
Anecdotes being anecdotes and all that jazz, but numbers that high from tanks are usually a rarity. I wonder if they're a secluded sort that doesn't mix with the unwashed masses or if I'm unlucky/on the wrong data center.

No offense, but those tanks are bad or inexperienced. At the Savage level, tanks should be breaking at least 2,500 at the bare minimum. Even that's on the lower side. The fact a MCH was anywhere near a WAR even with a death isn't a good sign. The WAR only pulled 81%, which isn't even at the top tier level yet out-dpsed everyone except the NIN. Unless this were advertised as a learning group, I find it... suspect. Honestly, my interpretation of his response was more "touch shit" on the PLD, SCH and AST who were essentially carrying the run. Rude? Maybe, but hardly something to get uppity over parsers about. Perhaps the OP should practice more herself because...
"More than enough" isn't an excuse. If you're learning, that is one thing, but to handwave who is otherwise exceptionally low DPS doesn't help your argument. If everyone held this standard, you wouldn't be clearing. The only reason you did it because both tanks and healers compensated for the lack of DPS. You essentially put much higher demand on them. Was the WAR a bit of a jerk? Sure. But that has little to do with parsing. He could easily say what he said without ever referencing a parse. Instead of getting defensive, shrug it off, look at your own performance and ask what you could have done better.

okay. that's proportions I can actually grasp then. I've only really seen one PLD pull over 4k, ever(in fact, I thought I'd effectively witnessed a unicorn...). but if 2500 is the actual floor for savage, then the occasional 3.2k's I've seen from some tanks make a touch more sense. No offense, but those tanks are bad or inexperienced. It's sad the the tank and the healer dps wasnt appreciated by the OP. You can clearly tell if none of they did try as good as they did, it be even slower to kill, hell it might been wipes, because you can clearly tell those healers know what they are doing. Most healers who don't even dps are bad at healing in the first place. Edit: Op was the MCH so it was a 8 min fight, they died around 3-4 min mark, so they should never been this low at all. But I wont judge, I'm a sad level 30 mch, but again that should never happen, even with a death. People have so low standars these days, just imagine they go in a group with low dps tanks, no healer dps and they go around with that dps in every group.

I know I sense bs when I read this.
11% enrage? 3.5k dps is enough? lol . I just got enrage at 11% o2s with dps being 3.5k, 3.4k, 3.2k and 2.5k and me as tank 3.5k and second tank 1.2k.

I would say anyone who even remotely defends that tanks behavior is just being almost as bad as he was. Nobody can defend that, and saying your dps "sucked" when you're doing plenty for the content is just stupid.
Well this forum turns into a playfield for elitists more and more anyways, a post literally saying "people are allowed to be an ass, when your dps is ass too." getting 40 likes just tells it all about this forum.
I love how you both support the OP for spreading bullshit. Like, at least read whats going on. I like how more and more players with that attitude of yours comes into the light too. speaks volum how far people go just to try get someone in a bad spot. But since you mostlikely wont read what happened I'll copy paste it to you both.
I feel I should participate in this thread (I'm the Warrior, btw) as this thread was brought to my attention by my FC.
Where did I kick you for doing poor DPS? We even killed it once, even though your performance is questionable at best, and nobody kicked you. I got 3 static friends that wanted to join for some late night fun. I have never kicked a person for low performance, if anyone deserved a kick in that group its the Paladin who killed all the DPS.
I haven't read any rules that forbid me to play with my friends, if I offended you then its not my intent. With that said however....
If you feel to bring up the DPS being the reason you got kicked, perhaps that is something you should improve on, rather than sit at your throughput level and point fingers how others are rude, mean and derogatory towards you on the internet. I personally prefer the option to find a guide on someone good, and learn from their knowledge they freely share with the community.
