Yeah because it's fine for a tank to do more dps than the dps. You know I've done so many kills and I also tanked fights myself without any tank stance at all and I get told I'm a way better tank than people who are in tank stance and It's like I tanked the whole fight with a tank stance. It's weird that people say that a tank who's tanking without tank stance takes less damage and doing 40% more damage is something they prefer than a ''tank who just tanks''.
Another example is tanks should put the boss in a good position and in omega 1 savage the tanks usually pop them in the fire so the melees can't hit it, another example of bad tanking. Just because you are a tank and your job is to hold aggro doesn't mean you are a good one. I'm more worried that you have the balls to say ''they are more concern about dpsing than tanking''. That means you don't know how to optimize your cds in a fight, you don't know how to move the boss for melees etc. You pretty much play like tanks in dungeons in raids.

Because poor DPS shouldn't be held accountable for their poor DPS, but the second a healer or tank screw up, it's time to tar and feather them for not "playing their job properly"?
If you had read the thread, you would have come across the posts of the WAR and the AST in that group who both said nothing was mentioned about parsers or DPS numbers. That being said, I ask again why are DPS roles not allowed to be held accountable for their poor performance, but tanks and healers are crucified the minute they make a mistake?

Couldn't said it any better. Honestly they defend too many people with poor performance. ''Oh no the healer is dpsing, I'm so concern they care about dpsing than healing'' ''tank is doing good dps so he must be a shit tank''. ''dps doing grey percentile, doesn't matter boss died and I don't care that the healers and the two tanks did so good damage to get us a clear instead of enrage''

Look at the damage taken. Its 450k difference between me and the PLD. He has shield oath up 94% of the time. Now look at this other log as myself as PLD and look I have no shield oath on in the whole run and I only ate 240k ish more than the PLD I was with as a WAR. https://www.fflogs.com/reports/mKyGR...e=damage-taken I was also active 2% more than PLD I was with. So whatever you say Xlanta, before talking, at least look at how the damage is taken etc. According to these logs I did better than the PLD when I was warrior and I wasn't in tank stance at all. I replied to your first comment in the thread because it was obvious that you did not bother to read any farther than the opening post. Which, if you had, you would have realized that this wasn’t another “someone was mean to me on the Internet and used parsers to do it” thread, but a thread in which the OP fabricated supposed parser usage/griefing on behalf of the WAR to try and defend their (the OP’s) poor performance/dismissal from the group (both the WAR from the party and the AST came to this thread to say that parsing wasn’t even mentioned, nor was individual DPS). In no way was I “attacking you”. I was merely pointing out how poor it is to jump into a discussion without bothering to even read it, and how DPS should be held accountable for their performance in end-game, Savage content, since everyone is so quick to hold tanks and healers accountable for theirs. Interesting that you've waded into a thread made by someone raging about parsers, proceeded to attack people based on the assumptions from OP's post without actually reading the thread (skimming or otherwise) and then gone on the defensive when shown evidence to the contrary.

I'm guessing the reasoning behind your logs being hidden and the way you entered the thread is that you don't approve of parsers and are trying to ram your opinion down other people's throats.

Your first post, is this not a definition of attacking in your dictionary? Im the problem, I should be shown no mercy and I worry about DPSing more than tanking. Count me clueless, I'd like an explanation what the definition of attacking is in your world.

The MCH said that "everything was going smooth" referring to us killing it, not getting kicked, then getting replaced when 3 friends came later on in the evening. If I was a DPS internet bully, wouldn't I have kicked him/her/it after the first kill of low DPS?

Also, while I'm catching up on all the discussion I missed, while tanking is the main job of the class, the tanks...hell, really, even healers, should be doing what they can to contribute to DPS too if they have the opportunity. No reason why a tank can't learn to switch to their DPS stance while MT - that's part of learning a fight. Also, say if I asked for my parse after a particular run, since I'm on PS4 and can't do my own numbers - should I automatically be reported because I'm curious how I did?
