Well the Macbook Air is quite capable of handling FFXIV...Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this, but I'm looking for a laptop in the $600-$1000 range that can play FFXIV in decent medium-high settings. I'm not too into laptops so I'm not exactly sure on what to go for. I know I will mostly be suggested to get a desktop, but I'm not always home, I'm mostly outside the house so a laptop would be a great convenience for me. Especially with starting college.

Since when is a Macbook Air with the hardware required to play this game in the $600-$1000 range? <.<
I'd understand a Macbook Pro for gaming... but Air is definately unsuited.
Thanks a lot Auritribe. I had no clue how the chips were distinguished based on the second digit. I will also be looking into that.
