I'm lucky in that my other half built his pc etc, other than that I really wouldn't have a clue. I'm not anti anything (well, except for the cash shop lol) but I know the initial layout is going to be costly. Then you have Windows to contend with. Also I remember a lot of issues trying to get directx something to work, when it first got updates or something? Anyways it was a total pain in the ass. I don't have a massive amount of time to play and I don't want to spend part of that trying to work out what's gone wrong with the PC this time, or what particular update has screwed with some settings. I get why some people enjoy it, and yup the graphics are better, plus the loading into an area is waay quicker (I missed an s rank today as the teleport took so long on the ps4).

On 11 I used to be able to flip between the console and pc depending on how I wanted to play etc or what my Oh wanted to play, but I can\\\\\\'t do it with 14 you don\\\\\\'t just own the licence for the game, you\\\\\\'ve got to own it on each format. Does that make sense?

An SSD can speed that up (if the area isnt PACKED with people, thats just a losing battle for everyone). Installation is super easy (youtube has alot of videos for it for the ps4) and they're getting cheaper. If anything thats going to be the biggest thing you can improve if you want better load ins.

PC building can be costly and its ok you prefer the ps4! never let anyone say anything different.

Totally. I for a while had a license for both PS4 and PC before finally just doing PC. It stinks how they do it, but I get why.

What is a reason to buy a PC if a ps4 pro is capable of running this game in 60 fps? I dont know lol, but i play on ps4 pro. :P
And it has keyboard and mouse support also.

The PC will always have it's place TBH, the experience you get with high refresh rate displays coupled with a top tier GPU is something to behold, not to mention that most PC monitors are still massively more responsive than the majority of TVs out there especially if you forget to enable game modes and such (As beautiful as it is, Project Cars 2 is an order of magnitude harder on my ZD9 than it is on my X34A for example).

Denying console players a spot now is pretty laughable though, I got the server 5th or thereabouts on T5 with a PS3 MT, and trust me, being a console player then was a real handicap (GJ on dive markers not loading in time) compared to how much better the PS4 client is.

Honestly its annoying me you need to buy the code for both ps4 and pc. I would also love the setting to keep the UI etc saved the same on both pc and ps4 instead of fixing it all the damn time. FF11 was better on this, where you bought the game once you could log on any of the platforms, well you needed 1 copy for the game itself on ps2 but that was dirt cheap and you didn't need all expensions to be bought either.

They "fixed" their game mode which led to alot of issues across multiple games (bad broken graphics, third party interfaces not working, the worst fps dips i've ever seen). You have to remove its files to fully be rid of Game Mode due to them removing the On/Off button. I really only had a big issue and still do with FFXIV, but they are slow to update as well so who knows (the dips are real, and they don't come with chips ). It also reset alot of power management settings, effectively eliminating some of them for some people (mine was just "hidden"), completely jacked up my sound/mic settings across most things that rely on windows to get that stuff together, among other things. That's just what I've experienced for I know it doesn't happen to everyone, I dodged every bullet in the spring creators update.... It's not gaming ending, but....it takes way longer than it should to hunt down most of these issues and fix them. Other people reported stuff with edge and windows apps but I don't use those; and graphics drivers (was already fixed by Nvidia by the time I got the update). I'd also like less spying and more control over my own windows settings but those days seem to be limited...

It's updates like these that make me appreciate how consoles just turn on and work. (for the most part but even they can have bad updates too)

I could probably never stomach playing in a walled garden. I don't want a machine that just works if it means an intentionally underpowered, limited-use piece of hardware that performs consistently, but also consistently badly. I'll weather all the poor OS patches under the sun because they're either temporary, or I can go for an open source alternative like Linux once my patience is broken.

Also, I absolutely despise the hostage situation they play with software.

I started this game on ps3 and then ps4, which was a huge upgrade. Then I made my own desktop about 2 years ago, because I was tired of my laptops breaking every 2-3 years. TBH I wouldn't care what that person said, in fact I'd love to know his name but it's againts on the forum. Some players like him I've met many times before when I was on ps3 and ps4 and I did better than them as console players. I would just brush it off and move on bro

Graphics and fps mostly. (I could get super into this but I wont ) I went from a PS4 to a PC and everything is just way smoother and graphically better and more stable. But you wouldn't know it if you have been a console gamer all your life, which that is ok!

I partly disagree with this statement.
The standard ps4 runs the game quite poorly i have to admit it, but the pro is running it at 60 fps with similar graphics.
And the playstation version is more stable, you could drop of the game in the middle of the city and the game will run for hours and hours, not talking about the connection to the server because thats purely random, the PS OS however is really stable when it comes to run games in extended period of time way better than windows 10 or xbox os.
And yes i have a pc, but thats a laptop, but im not playing it, since it sounds like its going to take off like a plane. XD

I have my game on for about 5 hours now, 50-60 fps all the time, you can call it a consistent OS running that game right there.

They will only know once you are in the instance if it's cross world. When you exam people's gear, if they are PS4 players, it shows their gamertag in the bottom right corner under the job stone.

It only shows that if you are on PS4 as well—it won’t show it if a PC player is examining a PS4 player, unless they have changed that in the year since I switched from PS4 to PC. I’ll have to go examine some of my friends that play on PS4 to double-check, but fairly certain it only shows your PSN name to other PS4 players.
