Weird flashing when I press the Windows Key

Because a Mod closed the Thread.
Yes, the Problems with the Fall Update are still there. Just like the DirectX crashes, I still now, which for me are both exclusive to FFXIV.
It seems both Problems go back to Dx11. But the weird thing is, none of my other Games using Dx11 show any kind of similar Problems.

If the Mod Team wants to ask me any questions, feel free to ask me. But sadly, I can't respond to blank Posts, like this here.
Don't take it personal, but people can't respond if you delete your own Posts and we only see a empty Box.

    Hello Imuka,

I do apologize for incorrectly closing the thread.

Are you receiving any lowered frame rate?

Has anything on your computer updated recently?

What have you done to solve the issue up until this point? Are your graphics card drivers up to date? Additionally, have you tried lowering the resolution or graphics settings (even if your GPU can obviously handle it), does this have any effect, or does the frame rate remain constant regardless of what you choose?

If none of this seems to have any affect, try turning off Direct X 11 mode and see if this adds any more stability to the game. Also, disable any programs in the background while you are playing the game (again, even if your computer should be able to handle it).

Thank you for playing Final Fantasy XIV!

    First Update on the issue.
Another Game is showing those weird flashes. Sadly, I can't find a solution for this Problem on my PC, and I have to wait till Microsoft works on a fix.

My Framerates are exactly like before, nothing looks different or works different, or weird in any way, except for those flashes.

The Fatal DX Crashes are still exclusive to Ff14. I am not sure, what causes them, because I never saw a real scheme behind it.
The only thing I noticed till now and this sounds weird. The Playback Feature from Youtube opened with FireFox can cause Fatal DX crashes. Pretty weird thing from my view.
But not FireFox is the Problem itself, because I can surf as much as I want while playing.
But till now, I only saw those crashes in 14.

I will try some stuff and Ideas and post here, if I find a good working solution.

    Hello Imuka,

Thank you for your reply! Please keep us updated on your issue and if it gets resolved. Are you using any Overlays (i.e. GeForce) these can sometimes interfere with our game.

Thank you for playing Final Fantasy XIV! Hope to see you online.

    Update:
I tried several things, nothing really worked for me. The flashes kept appearing.
I came back to an old Idea, which I tried for the DX Crashes. That they might be caused by Power Spikes, created when the GPU tries to pull more Power from the PSU, but sometimes something goes wrong and they cause a crash.
Back then, it did not help with the crashes, and the Idea went into the next corner.
But I came to the Idea, that those spikes could cause the flashes to appear. And it worked for me.
I guess, since the Fall Update, Win10 tries to lower the CPU Power as soon as it thinks, the Software is running in the background and this causes Power Spikes, which create those weird flashes.
(Or like in my case, it changed it back to the old Default settings)

Control Panel>System and Security>Power Options> Change Plan Settings>Change advanced power settings> Find PCI Express > Link Power State Management > and set to OFF.
This is, what I changed and the flashes disappeared for me. Ymmv.
