1: I actively fished during HW and I didn't suffer from the level of Bait Hoarding that a good amount of Fishers on the OF seems to have. The only bait I carried at all times was Fiend Worm, Brute Leech, Giant Crane Fly, Bladed Steel Jig, and Goblin Jig. That's 5 different types of bait, and if I needed to use other types of bait I simply bought it when I was going to use it. After I finished fishing I would either throw away the spare bait if it was cheap or sell it on the MB because of Lazy People. The fact that some people feel compelled to carry stacks of bait that can cost less than an average teleport astounds me.

2: Why would you ever need a Chocobo Bag full of bait? There are only 62 different types of Bait in the game and I don't see a reason for why you would want nearly 2,000 of certain types of bait. I would like to hear your reasoning for holding 999 Magma Worms or 999 Mythril Spoon Lures.

3: Fishing bait only clogs up your inventory because you're trying to prepare for literally any fish. I don't think those stacks of Lugworms or Moth Pills are worth losing the inventory space over.

4: If a majority of fish are completely useless, then why are you carrying all that bait? It sounds like you're just torturing yourself for little reason.

Could do what I'm doing; fish every fish in the game for completion and you'll never have to worry about bait and lures again. The ARR and HW ones anyway. Though the SB zones are quick to complete at the moment. There's no annoying big fish with time and weather combos put in yet.

You must be having exceptional luck to suggest such a thing xD

Joking aside, catching all fish is quite possibly the most time consuming and biggest RNG grind in the entire game. A similar suggestion I have is to fish up as many whites as you can; to the point that you are fishing solely by looking at available windows using a site like http://garlandtools.org/ffxivfisher/ then just keep your lures and purchase live bait as you need it.

Personally, I can't stomach allocating a large portion of the new chocobo bags to bait alone, and I would totally be on board for some kind of tackle box that keeps its own inventory. I think someone said SE didn't want to give one class its own inventory, but I find the amount of space fishing takes up to be rather discouraging. FSH has always been a bit of an exception to all other classes, and see no reason why one can't be made in regards to this as well. It's not like other classes have a need for bait.
