How many items do they have to gate off for people to be concerned? You already paid for the items with your sub. Everyone seems to be so excited to pay again and I dont get why.
They're still making mounts available in-game. I'll start worrying when that is no longer the case. It's a common business tactic in the present day for MMO's to have optional items for sale regardless of the presence of a subscription fee. Is it ideal? Not necessarily - but then many people, if given the opportunity, would rather have everything for free. That Square Enix has multiple ways to acquire more money should not be a surprise to anybody.

I wouldn't even mind the amount of items if I could pick which are made available for me ingame and which go to the mog station. There's a slew of items I dislike in the game that my sub automatically buys me access to, but several items I do like are behind an extra paywall, which not only puts a damper on the mood, it also puts a damper on the motivation to play the content and get the rewards, as several of these rewards are just plain "meh" to me. Cue me spending more time on the forums over it.
I'd be fine just being able to trade really, even at a 3:1 conversion rate I'd still get value out of that. But I guess there's a reason the pig suit is an ingame item and not on the mog station - it wouldn't reap as much profit.

Is the song an exclusivity from CS or was it IG before ?

Here we go... the complains

Very pretty, but even the sale prices are more than I'd spend IF the items like the mounts/outfits were account wide for a digital accessory. $8 for an account wide mount is the most I'd be willing to part with.

Buffing summoners was actually the trick so more ppl would buy the mount.
Where would they have put it? Behind a quest or new game mode that would have taken time and resources to develop and therefore wouldn't have been here until 4.2 at the earliest anyway? The problem is we still don't have a relic weapon to grind for but I doubt these had anything to do with it
I want this instead.
