Back in 2.0 I felt they were more careful about clipping. Then in 3.0 and now 4.0 they just don't give a fuck. That's honestly what's happening. They just don't give a fuck.

Yes we have it, but with an MMO, it's unfeasible to use that technology currently. Game wouldn't run great basically.
Even though it's not a solution, I just hide all my weapons except certain hip attached weapons. I don't like the idea of weapons floating on my back anyways.
I rather they went with "0 f*** given" rather than this "half f***" mindset. I get it that they won't utilize some of the more advance hair/cloth physic due to cost/resource efficiency considerations, but if that's the path they are going to go, might as well go all the way and give us stuff they had been avoiding with clipping as an excuse.
Off-topic, can we get Odin's mantle please? I don't mind weapon clipping and half cloth physics like the ones in HW/SB sets.
The lvl 70 BLM AF set will have your chin clip through the collar when in combat stance. Im tempted to just throw it straight into the trash.
Its funny that despite there being alot of clipping in this game, the developers still use clipping as a excuse to not give us long hairstyles. The orginal Darkside aura looked soo good, but it was removed before Heavensward launch, because it clipped with the mount when riding one.
I will forever be mad they ruined the whm af3 with that peacock thing, if it actually showed your back it would be amazing, easily one of the best af, now the only way to use it is to hide your weapon and its still kind of shitty.
I'll accept them deleting the fin on WHM AF3 as an apology
I'm pretty sure with the Genji hoop skirts, my hands just clip into it while standing still. I feel like "a single gear piece should not clip when wearing nothing else and while the player is not moving" isn't an unreasonable standard.
