I recently made a Miqo’te alt because I can’t decide on just one race/look and found that their tails literally clip everything in the game that isn’t pants when they run including the skirt the females start out in as their default race outfit. Like, the entire top part of their tail just repeatedly vanishes into the the outfit with every step. They couldn’t even make the tail not clip the one outfit in the game that was specifically made just for them. So yeah, these kinds of things bug me too, but unfortunately it is what it is and we just have to get used to/learn to ignore the wonky bits.
