More Character Customization Options ((In-game))

Well, since someone said lalafell it's my obligation to shows up.
If there are something I would like see in lalacustomization is mix races, for example: lala with elezen.
but just imaginating the work that will give to fit clothes, hats, shoes, legs etc in every mix, I imagine the dev team screaming internally.

Already spoke about this on another thread, but I'd prefer more character creation options then whatever they're planning with the glamour system. The character creation could really do with updating... you'd think with all the vast quantities of money they make from Fantasia purchases alone they'd want to incentivize further character creation. Glamours can only do so much, since it's actual character models that are wearing the glamours after all. When you've gotten to the point where you can accurately say which face options people have picked just by examining them, out of the whole 3-6 options per category, that's when you know the current options are far too limited.

I just personally feel slightly teased for the past few years in Eorzea. It's as if they handed us a pretty decent character creation that seemed to have so much promise for future content and yet, we've just been at a stand still with no improvements to it. It's like "Here you guys, a character creation options so you can be unique in Eorzea, BUT you still have to look similar to everyone else and fit "The Look" we want you to have so you can't fulfill your desires completely" lol which let's be honest, as humans we are never satisfied, so that's not what I'm saying. I just know and have a strong feeling in my heart that the character creation has SO much potential and is ready for an awesome update!! <3 <3

XIV as we know it was built on the bones of 1.0, a system that was created with a different goal than the one we've been playing since 2.0. That's why there are a lot of seemingly arbitrary restrictions and limitations. XIV's character creation works well enough for its indented purpose - creating a distinct player avatar- and will likely not be changed or updated in a significant way this late into the game's lifetime. It probably frustrates the devs that they can't give players what we want in they way we want it most -happy customers stick around longer and pay more after all- but the code limitations are very real. We're basically still paying for 1.0's poor design vision plus the mad scramble to salvage it and will be for years to come, regardless of how successful the game is. It's unfortunate since I'd love to have more face, height, and build options for my character too. But I have zero expectations that I'll ever get to customize every detail I want in this game.

Perhaps.....I know there are SO many complications that go into giving us exactly what we want, but I have faith that Yoshi and the company will find a way!! They personally have never let me down before!! I've loved every moment of my time spent in Eorzea <3 and I thank them so much everyday for making such a glorious masterpiece <3

In general saying after successful 4 years of ongoing game, I think Character Creator/Customization really needs an upgrade! at least some new faces (all races), new tails (au ra/miqo'te), ears (miqo'te), horns (au ra). So far the only customization added are the occasional hairstyles, wish they make an official hairstyles entry (not a composition) since it will add a vast amount of ideas that can be added with every patch.

I would love to see muscle tones for all the the female races and some sexy bodies too wouldn't kill you, breast comes in a variety of shapes not just a blob you can make smaller or bigger. You can make a sexy adult male body ex. the male Au Ra body shape but when it comes to females the word bland and childlike comes to mind. And why do female Roegadyn run like there's something between their legs

I'd also like to add in someone elses thread that was just posted like just now lol, but I think doing a split hair option would be nice. Such as being able to customize the front and back of the head separately. Perhaps you like or dislike bangs but like the ponytail/pigtail look. And I also believe we should be able to customize horns/ears without modifying other parts of the face/head/body scales.

I also don’t understand the process of adding different character features and I’m sure it’s difficult, but after 4 years it would be nice if they could finally focus on character creation in one of the upcoming patches. We have new characters who are beginning to have more features than us and look better, but we’re still stuck with the base creation. Kinda feels sad being the WoL and all when the npcs look better than you lol. Don’t get me wrong, I think the character creation looks great so far but it just feels like it’s lacking.... I can make a good looking character but it’s never what I want since the options are so limited

Agreed, but on the plus side, atleast it looks like they added a few new hairstyles in the patch, however I feel like adding more hairstyles shouldn't be in only the large scaled updates. >//<;;
