Artifact Gear - Lvl 60 Quest & Jump Potions

Frequency: With each use of the level boost potion.

(The rest has been omitted because it isn't relevant to the issue. I will provide if needed.)

Issue description:

When purchasing the level boost for any given job on the mogstation, this will boost the job to 60 and complete all relevant quests. Because of this auto-competition, the artifact gear that is normally awarded with the level 60 quest is not provided and the quest is obviously not repeatable. Is this intended, or should we also be receiving a coffer with the level 60 artifact gear that is normally rewarded with our lvl 60 quest?

I'm not sure if this is working as intended or not because the gear can be purchased later on with centurio seals, but it seems strange to force the purchase with seals when it should've been given anyway as part of the 60 quest. The GM that I reported this too suggested asking around on the forums instead of providing any single answer. If this is not a bug, my apologies. I thought I'd report it just in the off chance that it is.

If it is a bug, would anyone be able to assist with providing the coffers that should've been provided with the BRD and WHM quests? If not.. Guess I have some hunts to farm. ^-^

Don't you get a complete set of 260 gear with the level potion?

From an aesthetic PoV they should include it but i think the devs take the progressive PoV and gave out a complete set of the semi-best gear to progress streight into stormblood.

In the beginning of HW the set was purchasable from tomestones which are not in the game anymore. They removed them to cut the number of currencies ingame and changed how the gear can be purchased. Since then you got it for centurio seals.

With the SB launch they introduced a whole lot of new stuff to be obtained from hunt seals and I think that is why they changed the quests and gave the gear as a reward so newbies don't have to grind the seals. Pre SB there was literally no other way to obtain the gear apart from actually buying it. Sooooo: working as intended.

To add to this - some gear can be traded for via items at some shops - like the mor dhona one.
So odds are if there's a specific kind of gear your looking for...check calamity salvagers/the idyleshire/rhaglrs reach/mor dhona/ishgard shops etc.
Generally you can find things for seals/gil/tomestones?

I will say - skipping everything with a level boost potion - is a bit risky - you never quite get the full impact. So yeah..works as intended. Especially if your given a set up front. (may not be the one you want..but still)
