Char unable to log in

Hi there.
So All month I have been unable to log in to my primary character here. I start up the game and the loading screen displays, but is stuck loading indefinitely. The problem came about first when I had a dx11 game crash while I was teleporting, which I'm told might have caused my character to get stuck somewhere. However, I can create new characters, log in, and play on them just fine seemingly without any further dx11 issues, so that leads me to believe its an issue with this single char. I've talked to email support, who said there wasn't anything they could do, and my character should log out automatically in time, but it's been several weeks since then. Then I talked to chat support trying to make some kind of progress, and they sent me here to hopefully get this fixed!

Hello Zeruel90, Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I am not sure if you have already tried these steps but, I would like to suggest turning off DirectX 11. Disabling all overlays or background applications. uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If there is anything else that you have tried please let us know. I would also like to know how long this has been going on.

I've seen this happen to a friend, and his character was literally stuck logged in for a couple of weeks until maintenance hit and forced logged it off which then let him back on. Do u have any friends who play on that world who could login and see if your char is still stuck somehow ingame?

I do agree with Xeon. You might need to wait until maintenance. If you do have friends that play on that world like Xeon said, ask them if they can see your character stuck.

They may not have the ability to manually log you out, but should be able to credit your account for the down time when you do get back up and running again.

I've tried swapping over to DX9, and also removing overlays with the same results. Full re-installation is next on my list of things to try.

Thanks for the advice Xeon! Interesting, I will ask a buddy and see if they have any luck logging in with my char. I was in Wolves' Den teleporting to Limsa when the crash hit me.

So I was indeed able to get a friend to log in and change the location of my character. However, upon attempting to teleport back to Limsa, I experienced game crash again. For whatever reason seems to be a problem loading that zone, which is a big issue as my GC is there
