Ast Quest : Geomancer future job?

So, do you guys think the AST quest hints at Geomancer being a future job?
Or better, some kind of weird mix between AST and ... GEO?

I'm not pointing toward a specific role or anything, although I'd see it as a DPS since the "nature healer" spot has already been taken by our beloved lilies' master. You know, throwing molten boulder and stuff.

Anyway, wattya think?

When they mentioned Geomancy I fully throught they were hinting at GEO.

I do plenty of damage on my AST. Healers are not DPS, DPS is an after thought. Plus traditionally in my FF knowledge, though not all that extensive really, GEO was more of a support class, thus I don't think that would be there choice for the "DPS Healer."

DNC on the other hand would be interesting in that role thought it would pretty much break the current battle system for anything other than the hardest of content.

In the AST quest they said that they're basically the same. They divine the future from the star below them, while AST does it from the stars above them.

Their spells involve wind water and earth, and CNJ already has that domain covered.

It would not be a far cry if you just went WHM and role played as a GEO

Geomancer was going to be in 4.0 (confirmed in an interview before release) but they changed it to samurai.

It's definitely going to be one of the next jobs. They don't hint this much for nothing.
