I'm gonna quote what two people on the Coeurl discord server said, because it sums up the whole thing pretty well :
"Its a good server, chill atmosphere the whole 9 yards.
The only issue with couerl is if you want to become a hardcore anything..... its not the server for you."

"There are a few members that are interested in really doing content.
The hard part is that they're very few and far between.
    Coeurl breeds omnicrafters."

So basically, although some people do run extreme content (myself included), most stick to casual and crafting/gathering. On the other hand, the community is extremely nice, so I'd recommend it to anyone.

This. I was in one of the more popular FCs for about a month before I left it. I asked for 3 days solid for help from the 100+ people on learning Susano Ex and going through the lvl 70 dungeons as healer (because I main BLM). I got absolute silence in response, for 3 days solid. When there were like 40+ people online. My sister, who was also in the fc, was just in the lower levels herself and even she couldn't get help with anything. A lot of people who were online either sat around in Gridania, Limsa, or Kugane, or were pairing up with friends to run content they wanted to (Raba, sometimes Frontlines, and very infrequently any lvl 70 stuff).

I ran into a former fc member the other day, someone who told me that I should be "trying to play and improve to be like a top tier/world first player", the first that person asked me was "are you still going on about Susano Ex?" When I asked what they meant, they said "I dunno, you just seemed to be asking about it a lot." Uh, yeah. It's content I wanted to get competent at with the added incentive of maybe getting the mount (still haven't gotten it).

I have found that a lot, though, on this server. There are a LOT of crafters/gatherers. The people that do extreme content seem to already have static groups for it and/or expect perfection right from the get-go. A lot of fcs I've seen or talked to also don't do any sort of extreme content, or they say they might do it, but focus mostly on just running Raba or HW raids.

Other than that though, Coeurl is a super friendly and busy(!!!) server. Limsa is almost always packed to the gills with people.

That's probably the best description of Coeurl I have read.

It's a peaceful, laidback place and perfect for taking a vacation from prior hardcore pursuits. The inhabitants tend to be very nice with a strong interest in crafting things for each other.

I love Cactuar. We've grown considerably since I started playing 2 years ago (now 4th most populated server). It's definitely an "everything" kind of server. Kind of like Balmung except with less RP and the Quicksand is not...questionable. ;p

Originally from Tonberry (JP) during HW. Then after hitting 60 during HW it started to get boring for me so I decided to server hop as I have no commitments to Tonberry (only there because I have good ping) Then I transferred to Gilgamesh where the fun and excitement were. I did enjoy my stay there for several months because of friendly people I met there despite the need to go against high ping and logging on at weird hours. Unfortunately, the latency despite using VPN was taking a toll on me so I decided to transfer my main back to Tonberry and start off a new character in Gilgamesh just so I could keep in touch with the good folks I've met (and occasionally level it)

Eventually some... things happened and I decided to went inactive for months if not for more than a year until only recently I returned to Storm Blood and I decided to log on my character on Gilgamesh just to find most of the people I've met and stuff all had went inactive, quit, server changed or to put it plain walked their own paths. Perhaps it was my fault certainly for going inactive at first no doubt but what's done is done. So now I'm back to Tonberry, a lonewolf ... a wanderer among other warriors of light.

    Moved from Adamantoise to Mateus.

Been loving it so far! The world just feels so much more alive. There are actually people in the Quicksand! I'm not into RP myself but I really enjoy being in an environment where everyone around me is.

And that's even when playing during odd hours! I imagine it's much, much more lively and fun during peak hours. I'm looking to fix that by uniting all us non-peak hour players under an FC (got a few members so far from around the globe), but weekends are a treat when I can play during peak hours ^^

    No complaints about Hyperion.
The people are nice. Novice Network is nice.
Rather populated and active. Always able to find someone if you're not looking cross-world.

Been here since it was Kashuan back in 1.0.

Omega was good at first. It was a new world when I made my character.
But then.... after the level buff was gone, a lot of people left. It's really, really empty and not just regarding to the patch hole.

There was also a lot of drama that I encountered here, and toxic people. And a lot of roleplay. That might just be my experience though.

I am relieved - I will transfer to Gilgamesh because I will move in real life. I wasn't sure whether Leviathan or Gilgamesh, but I think it's a good choice.
