I don't notice if my tanks have started using their AoEs more or not. I am usually too busy keeping up with them. And then I Tetra/Bene when we stop, drop regen, and usually drop my DoTs before the tank needs a heal.

I'm curious, what's the consensus now? Have things changed from just a year or two ago? Is this a data center thing? For me on Aether, it's been something generally frowned upon, so I was somewhat surprised to see this opinion so widespread on my Facebook group.
As MeridaQ says, pre-pull Regen is still a sloppy and unnecessary practice.

Even in situations where mobs are tightly grouped and not a mix of ranged and melee behaviors, I consider it rude to force the tank to compensate for inopportune HoT ticks. If mid-pull healing becomes necessary for some reason, it's simpler and less messy to the toss a single oGCD or a Swiftcast heal.

In short, your Facebook group is probably annoying a lot of random tanks.
