Just an fyi, you can use discord easily on mobile devices. I have ps4 friends that use both the ipad and mobile phones for speaking on discord.

If you use your phone you simply can use speaker phone for ease of use, same with ipad. My guild mates are a couple, and they play together with an ipad on speaker between them. It works surprisingly well.

I use my iPad and I don’t use a headset works just fine. My friend uses her phone and it seems to work fine for discord. You don’t need a like video quality mic to talk on discord. I personally don’t know of fcs that are “PS4 only” there might be some that exist but I’ve never heard of it.

I play in PS4 and use discord via iPad without headphones. Based on my experience it works pretty well. Give it a go. As others have said already, you might find it difficult to find a PS4 FC only. Best of luck.

I don't understand if there are so many PS4 players and PSN has a built in voice chat for 8 players and a raid is 8 why don't more people use PSN?

Because there's even more PC players that have zero access to PSN.

Most FC's are a mix of the two and Discord is universal either way.

Come on over to Gilgamesh, and check out the Warriors of Sunlight. We are a PS4 first FC and use PSN alot.
If you want to stay on Goblin, I would recommend checking out Kupoloplis. When my FC was still on Goblin (we left for raid reasons long before datacenter wide party finder existed) we had a very good relationship with that FC and still speak to some members via PSN voice chat.

I could see what OP means. I prefer to use PS4 voice chat most of the time, it's generally just easier and can get both sounds (game and voices) through a single headset rather than mess with another set coming from my phone. I do have Discord for some stuff though if needed.

I'm also on Goblin though so feel free to add me if you need help with anything or just chat about stuff. (Other cross world players are welcome too).
