i'm not a dev, but my guess it has something to do with being same technical realization as ninja's Mudra (Ninjutsu). Ninja get their Mudras failed if any other skill (including Spirtn) been used while casting Ninjutsu. Kind of weird decision if i am right about this, definately worth fixing

Hrm....interesting point, but Ninjutsu is different since it is supposed to be a sequence of signs which create the magic. You mess up the sequence then the magic won't work.

I mean for instance if that were the case for RDM then Fleche or Contre Sixte would also cancel Dualcast but those oGCDs don't, but Sprint does. Since Sprint is kind of a side ability used by all jobs it seems like it shouldn't interrupt Dualcast imo, but it isn't a big deal, just curious why it cancels Dualcast and if there was a reason for it.

not saying it was intended to be so, probably just copypasting some code strings without afterthought. or, could also be balance decision, although in such case they should've mentioned ability cancel somewhere in description i believe

Sprint is a general action, not an ability.

Eventually, you get to the point where you Sprint ahead of time when you know a particular mechanic is coming, so it just takes getting used to.
