How would you make RDM more complex?

Ruinga was probably the most beautiful spell I had ever seen in my gaming career with the only competitor coming close being Chaos Storm from GW2

Eh, I can't see Verultima becoming a thing. For one, Verholy and Verflare are already weakened versions of the original spells. Ours are single-target, the originals are AoE. Even if we did get access to Ultima, we'd have to get access to something like Benediction to make it even. Remember, red mage in this game does everything in pairs: two black magic spells, two white magic spells, two red magic spells, two AoE attacks, two attack abilities, two two-minute recasts, two positioning attacks, two ways to spend your mana, two combo finishers, etc.
