    About Duty Recorder

Wasn’t expecting them to introduce that tbh. While I think it may be a good thing to implement for mostly video guides for certain instances and requiring a minimum party requirements, being a premade party, and unanimous consent are pretty good conditions to add into the system, I do, however, doubt that it would be used a lot because I see it being used for drama/toxicity, for example- a pf leader kicking anyone who doesn’t vote yes to the DR. I think some of them would try to use the feature as a means to shame anyone who makes even a small but recoverable mistake (which I think that’s why se needed the ready check to be unanimous), even though PS4 share and other pc recording systems show other people’s names in them, and some may not understand that there are those that may not like being recorded for various reasons. I might see it as often in savage/extreme/ultimate content though.

Unless if SE is planning ahead to prevent such abuse of the DR, I think that putting it in otherwise may discourage some from trying harder content, imo. What do y’all think?

I think you are overthinking the issue. If someone kicks people for not accepting DR then that's not a party you want to be in. In reality, due to the strict requirements, this is a feature not likely to be used by randoms at all, rather to be used by statics so that they can look over their strategies and make changes with a clearer idea of what is going on.

Also what more can possibly be done than required consent?

I think its more akin to a demo, where the game just tracks which skill is used when, who stands/moves where/when and so on, kind alike recording keystrokes. If they do it like that the actual replay file should be relatively small and, if from the devs enabled, even easily shareable.

Considering that other stream recording software/apps already exist that people can abuse, its certainly not the duty recorder that's going to increase this, if not for the fact that outside of the DR, all other methods are 3rd party and SE has no control over them. If anything, people would be more careful with it.
