Please let us have the Replay Function in Feast too

Having the ability to replay a battle in dungeons is great and all, especially for progression.

But I'd also like to suggest that we have this ability for Feast matches too.

Right now, it's difficult for players to improve if they don't know what they did wrong (on account of having no chat).

If nothing else, to prevent solo queue people from harassing each other, make it available for Feast team matches. This way, we can work together to get better.

Of course, in an ideal world, we could have this AND our chat back among teams. That would be amazing.

But I think the replay function could serve another good purpose in PVP -- namely ratting out bots, win-traders and cheaters. If we can't submit our own video evidence on account of the possibility of tampering (lol), then surely they'd let us submit video evidence direct from their own system recording.

You know, I was JUST thinking of this while doing some video work today! I hope it works for PvP as well, and I fully support the idea of SE being able to review system recorded footage in order to help deal with problems with cheating and botting.

I really hope this has been considered already or at least will be before the new season.

Just remember that there's a Record Check for that, if someone is cheating, they won't pass.

I hope this comes to be and there's a possibility for GMs to rewatch matches. This way you'll get banned for all the throws you're doing.

What is a Record Check?

Works like a Ready Check, but for recording.
Once everyone accept/consent the Record Check, the game will store data (record a replay) for that specific fight so you can view it later in the inn.

Quick Edit:
While on replay mode, all character names will be replaced by their Job instead. «Lorem Ipsum» would becode «White Mage» for example.

With all those bells and whistles attached, I'd be surprised if the feature would come for anything other than custom games in PvP.

They aren't gonna implement it for matched parties in PvE, so don't even get your hopes up for solo queue PvP. Since we don't know how Alliance raids will be treated, we can't conclude how PvP would be treated, but if you'll need a full premade alliance for a recording there, you can be dang sure you'll need unanimous consent of both teams in PvP, which would make the feature useless against cheaters and of questionable use in regular PvP. Names are blocked out as well for an extra layer of security.

I'd not get too hyped on this.

It's not a permanent function. Records are deleted every patch update (guessing every maintenance too), so there still need video of the angles/povs.

Yeah, doing it for solo queue would open up huge potential for harassment so I can see that not being implemented.

But for matched team v. matched team that they want to release in 4.2, it would really help because we can supposedly see things from different perspectives and angles.
