Audio stops sometimes in middle of the game

I would like to ask you for some more information regarding your issue. What were you doing prior to to the sound going out? Does it seem to have any pattern to it? (example. The sound goes out every time I am zoning) Before the sound goes out do you make any changes? (example. plug in something or unplug anything)

During Shisui of the Violet Tides I lost audio just before the first boss. One other time I lost audio was during a level 50 dungeon, it might have been the Wanderers Palace(Hard) but I'm not certain. Both times I happened to be tanking on PLD or DRK.

After the audio cut out I tabbed out and checked iTunes and a random YouTube video to see if I had audio outside of FFXIV and both times I was still able to hear audio outside of the game. To fix it, I'd have to shutdown the client and open it back up. Maybe just logging out would have helped, but I didn't try that. I restarted the client both times.

Some additional information: I'm always using headphones and they are always plugged into the rear jack that goes straight into my motherboard.
