I get bored from grinding capped tomestone every week.. I think SE should consider increasing the cap progressively (not too much) but ease the rate of getting end of game gear when the next one is coming really soon..
The move lowering deltascape crystalloid from 7 to 4 for example is a good and wise move. They can also replace the easiness to get end game gears the augmentation process for example, by making it slightly more difficult..
Because it's very hard for new players to catch up with the end game stuffs where the fun just begin..
Because savage doesn't have echo yet, therefore still takes some effort to clear, and can't be facerolled.
Tomestones, on the other hand, can be easily farmed by facerolling through expert dungeons.
Square haven't removed it because those that do not raid still need a carrot so that they have people subbing. They know the raiding community is significantly smaller than the casual community, so that's why the Savage gear is unlocked. Not everyone can do it. Plus, there's no precedent to increase the cap or outright remove it at any point other than prior to an expansion.

♥ Baby, tell me, what's your motive? ♥
Savage gear is already higher than the uncapped tome gear, unlocked normal raid gear and dungeon gear. I'll repeat, uncapped tomes already exist and the gear is rightly below the level of gear from harder content or more restricted loot systems. You should consider asking for higher level gear to drop in 'higher' content. Why that stuff wasn't 345 or 350 (or Lost Allagan wasn't 320/330) didn't make sense to me. But having weekly resets is ridiculous. In 2017 going on 2018 its time to knock off the idea of lockouts.

I like the tome system first weeks during progression because that challage players and let them try savage with low ilvl and content become easier every week. After x.1/x.3/x.5 patches it is not needed anymore because ppl should already have bis at that point. Also I hate ppl that have gil or crafters can get full crafted 10 ilvl higher + full pentamelded gear and clear everything in day 1.
In the future they could fix this by not raising the level cap by 10 levels and then having 10 levels of MSQ and Side quests as well as the large open zones.Square haven't removed it because those that do not raid still need a carrot so that they have people subbing. I don't know about you all but I haven't been outside Ala Mhigo and Mor Dohna for anything major in the last month. Once you've completed the MSQ, and unless you're a gatherer or collector, those zones which probably took the majority of the expansions development go unused. Its no secret that they are largely empty. Go see for yourselves. When I came back to the game for 4.1's release, leveling to 70 I was soloing alot. I can count the FATEs on one hand where I had more than myself present.
I'm not here to do beast tribe quests, FATEs, or gathering. I'm here because its a MMORPG and I want to play with other players. That means dungeons. In the future they need to take multiplayer content into better account.
