No excuse for being a poor mentor.I love Ala Mhigo and Doma Castle because my Bard and Black mage's dps is off the charts and the runs are so easy to me and I get compliments every time I run them not so with Aurum Vale. Like one post said make it (Aurum Vale) a level 50 to give us more powers to make it enjoyable to play.
To be honest though, this is a mentor abusing their role. IMO that's what should be reported. I can't say that I'd take the time to report every random who drops because though it's a selfish move, it's still trivial, but if that person has the crown why not report them for trolling newer players which would be an example of harassment. If they didn't want to mentor or at least be respectful then don't wear that crown.Aurum Vale is fine, has the same chance of being cleared in about 18-25 mins just like the others. The only thing that needs to change is steps for trial roulette. No one goes in a trial roulette expecting a 10 minute run.
That is not how the report function works, they will just tell you that is what the penalty is for.

Ala Migho is a blast for me. I love every boss in it, and it goes by fast imo. (Though I got tired of it grinding for the mount lol) The level 70 dungeon I dislike over the others is definitely the monk one, for the reasons you listed for Ala Migho.
I wouldn't say dropping out of a dungeon is harassment. Everyone has the choice to leave a dungeon and eat a penalty if they want to.To be honest though, this is a mentor abusing their role. Now, with that said, it's incredibly poor behavior, especially for a mentor. I wouldn't say it's a reportable offense though.
All I see is you giving reasons why people are resistant to talk in anything. You can't force someone to do something or play something they do not want to do. If a healer is being abused by a troll group and leaves, are you going to report the healer for leaving because they are a healer? To be honest though, this is a mentor abusing their role. IMO that's what should be reported. Do note dropping out of dungeons like that is not something I would do, but I understand why some may want to. In the end of things what I said is how GMs look at it, it isn't harassment.

I too hate Aurum Vale with a passion. My most hated dungeon in the game, easily. But I'm surprised the OP's complaint is about its difficulty.
I hate Aurum Vale for completely different reasons. I don't think AV is any harder or longer than other ARR dungeons, and I've played it multiple times in all 3 roles.
My gripe with it is that it's visually extremely unappealing and has severe visibility issues, the biggest offender being the very first room. Big monsters, small room (in terms of being compacted, not in terms of extension). In other words, as soon as you pull a frog, there is no way to manage the camera in a way that it can allow you to take the information you need (e.g. where the patrols are, if there's any aoes landing anywhere, etc) , because you'll either be looking at a wall, or at monster models who'll fill your entire screen. And that adding to the dungeon being disgusting as hell (fitting a theme doesn't automatically make it enjoyable), almost sight-repelling, just makes me not want to be there.
I'm surprised noone's mentioned this, and that people are instead focusing on the dungeon being alledgedly more difficult in terms of mechanics, or more extensive, which I think neither is accurate. And even if either was accurate, I don't think it'd be a problem, as long as the visibility issue was not present.
With that being said, I'll never tilt/leave a dungeon because of me not liking it. That's just too "gimmeasafespacewithonlyunicornsandrainbows" for me. I'll complain at getting the dungeon, yes. I'll meme it to no end (this post was the first time in MONTHS I called Aurum Vale by its actual name, since I usually call it...erm... other kinds of names that I'm not sure I can list here :P ). But leaving it, while leaving 3 people to rot, just because I don't like it? I'd be more disgusted at myself than I am disgusted by the dungeon.
If you want to play an MMORPG in which you can be sure that all content you step foot in is gonna be content that you enjoy, and that you'll know will change/disable all content that you remotely dislike, learn game-design, get a team and create your own. The people you see running about in your game aren't named NPCs. They're people, and they have as much right to like/dislike content as you. And there's people (as this thread shows) that actually like/ don't mind AV.
And no, you're not forced to run content you don't like. All you need to do is avoid pressing that big "Join" button after selecting "Leveling Roulette".
There's content I don't like too, and I don't queue for it, instead of queueing for it and asking for it to adjust to me.
But Diamond, you being an exceptional mentor and being good at the game should allow you to run anybody through that dungeon with minimum hassle right? My humble self still has minor issues with this dungeon but someone as exceptional as you should clear it without any issues!
you are right I am exceptional but that was the wrong level roulette at the wrong time. Am I perfect? of course not but these extremely mean posts show that posters inability to see having fun is way more important than crunching through an unpopular, unappealing, crappy dungeon like Aurum Vale. Fun playing brings longevity and longevity brings stability and stability means more content and more content brings in more players, more people to talk to and share ideas and perspectives. Keep an open mind change Aurum Vale for the good of this game. But Diamond, you being an exceptional mentor and being good at the game should allow you to run anybody through that dungeon with minimum hassle right? You are not exceptional, not in the least, the only thing you are is a blemish on the community and we are better off without you.you are right I am exceptional but that was the wrong level roulette at the wrong time. Know why people are negative towards you ?
Because you spread a toxic atmosphere wherever you go, actually Aurum Vale suits you perfectly.
You can't even stomach constructive criticism let alone someone expressing their true feelings towards you, that those are mostly negative is your fault and yours alone.
Also, if you ever run across me, you better behave or i will have reported you faster than you can bail from the instance.
Edit: Also, what you don't realize as well is that to some players Aurum Vale actually is fun, what you want is to take away their fun because you don't like the Dungeon, know what, i don't like Doma Castle, lets change that so it fits me, who cares if you like it, huh?
This does not work obviously, there will ALWAYS be content liked by some, hated by some.
If you really want a game with only things you like, i got a great idea, go and make one yourself, until then, you can complain and moan all you want, nothing is gonna change just for you, you are not that important at all.
You are very much insignificant.
