Punishment is a bad term to use, but that's essentially what it is to take away something legitimately gained by one person to give it to another. But that aside, my problem with all the "fairness" and "deserving" arguments is that they would benefit the person making that argument more often than not.

Legitimately is a loose term when it comes to housing due to the housing black market, online real money trading, and variety of data center variables. And sure why make an argument if you don't feel strongly about it. But i'm not speaking out for only myself. I'm speaking for the majority of the player base. I pay for this game and I love it. But, like all games there are flaws. And like good game companies they work to correct them. The outcry after Shirogane housing dropped on here was loud enough for SE to move forward with changes. And I'm advocating for a system that benefits majority of players. And sure the rule of only owning 1 personal 1 FC may benefit me. It may not. There's no guarantee I will get a house. Will my chances go up..sure. But i will be under the same rules as everyone else and will only be able to own 1 personal and 1 FC. The rule isn't unreasonable.

You can make the same argument to say that all personal and FC houses should be reclaimed. You're in the realm of "Some Miqo'te have bought gil, so I'm fine with taking away gil from all of them."

The rule may not be unreasonable, but it is still punitive to some for the benefit of others. Housing reclaim is the same (and I was a proponent before they announced that, but suggested it be based on subscription.)
