If I remember correctly, new housing zones will only go live one week after 4.2, because, Yoshida said, he didn't want people getting caught up in the log-in wars again.

It got me really worried.

It means whatever they have in mind, it's still a first-come-first-served system. The only difference is now we can all log in and be on the server.

Zone limiations anyone? Now we're gonna get stuck trying to teleport into housing zones as opposed to the login screen? I really hope that's not going to be the case.

Honestly I'm not getting my hopes up. The mere fact that they are afraid of releasing the details means that they know of ways to abuse the system and have done nothing to prevent it. So again, just like before, they're relying on obscurity to make it look fair. Two days, three days or perhaps a week after the new housing zones are released, everything will be business as usual, with hoarders re-selling plots.

They have a proven history of complete incompetence in deliverying a fair housing system. And this secrecy isn't helping it. Especially after bragging about a new glamour system that give players almost everything we wanted and falling flat on their faces with an obscure system that already has severe limitations many players will hit immediately.

But I do hope they will make house limits, one house per server PLUS letting alts share the one house they are given. Like this they wouldn't have to listen to complaints so much and having the need to release more wards.

Now homeless /single house/multi house owner we all gotta at lest agree this is wrong lol basic math will tell you how far off they are.. Just the NA servers right now have 72,000 houses,latest Unofficial census has NA with 360,000 characters just over 300,000 Accounts.. So no matter what number you use they HAVE to release a ton more wards...Cause we havent even added in FCS owning house with those numbers..And just asking my fc seems everyone has 5-6 characters weither there low level or level 1s on differnt servers for weeding...so the 60,000 extra characters the number that own houses im betting is under 5,000

There is no solving the problem untill there is more houses then characters and fcs

Finally you (I) won't lose that bombard chandelier that doesn't go with anything but will not part with because destruction is not an option!

I'm most excited about this. The fact that interior/exterior items would get destroyed, some with no way to get them again other than buying them on the Mogstation at outrageous prices (yup, I'm looking at you seasonal wallpaper for $5 each) was ridiculous.

This likely might have a negative impact on the cost of housing items through the MB though (chandeliers/walls/wallpapers) because we'd only ever need to buy them once. :O

Off I go to start hoarding now while the prices are low. XD
