    FPS drop resolution

I have been suffering from FPS drops lately really bad, going from an average of over 120 fps to 30 and locking at 30 until I zone or just wait it out.

I figured out it was "Limit frame rate when client is inactive" I had unchecked that and that's when the problems started. I checked it again and I stopped getting frame rate issues. Uncheck it, problems start again, check it and they stop.

So some of the frame rate issues that have been persisting for people since 3.5ish may be behind that?

Hello AnimaAnimus, Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

I apologize for any inconveniences you have experienced. What have you done to solve the issue up until this point? Are your graphics card drivers up to date? Additionally, have you tried lowering the resolution or graphics settings (even if your GPU can obviously handle it), does this have any effect, or does the frame rate remain constant regardless of what you choose?

If none of this seems to have any affect, try turning off Direct X 11 mode and see if this adds any more stability to the game. Also, disable any programs in the background while you are playing the game (again, even if your computer should be able to handle it).

Thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
