If the guys are getting in with the tunnelbear VPN app, then its not likely a DDoS on the servers, but rather a node in between. In any event, you can't really do squat about a DDoS attack. Theres no real way to shut that down short of the offenders ISP yanking his cord to the internet.
Also, getting mad at SE because you think they can do something isn't going to help matters. As a matter of fact, there is nothing they CAN do short of buying your South American ISPs, because it's not on their end. So don't get mad at SE because you can't login. All you can really do is continue to take it up with your ISP. There's gotta be some way of getting in touch of someone who isn't a lowly rep.

Huh? Mad? What makes you think I'm mad?If the guys are getting in with the tunnelbear VPN app, then its not likely a DDoS on the servers, but rather a node in between. Square certainly have some kind of DDoS protection service or else they would be down very often and what I mentioned is how DDoS defense works. "When a DDoS attack is detected, firewalls can shut down a specific flow associated with the attack, but they cannot perform antispoofing on a packet-by-packet basis to separate good or legitimate traffic from bad-action" But I agree with you that there is not much we (or square) can do to solve this fast.

R.: Hello Xeon, I feel bad to say that but yours notes couldn't help, but thanks for trying to help us, butI don't think that brazilians problems started only in july, for sure it is from before, or maybe not.
R.: About the browse issue, I agree with them cause everything works well except by everything related to square, website, game, servers and routers, when I got unable to enter in my FFXIV on my PS4, the first thing I made was check if my GVT IP entered in blacklist, them I ran the black-list ip check, and my ip is green, not blocked, already tryed use the google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and tryed use proxy too, both no success. This pretty much eliminates it being a browser issue... these same things could be the result of a DDoS attack on one of your ISP's nodes, or somewhere in between your ISP and SE servers in California, and as a result, it might be out of the scope of both companies.
I would start by contacting your ISP... change DNS settings by doing a google search. If this works, great....
I downloaded one of these free trials VPN and didnt worked on my PS4 too, well, I just gave up, if things keep going like this I will be forced to lock my subsc.

My friend hasn't received the email and he is on PS4 so any ways for him to make it work. He still can't access the Lodestone nor the forums.
I find the whole thing very bizarre. I can understand not being able to get into the game itself but blocking you all together EVEN this forums? Something doesn't seem right.
And again my friends character is :
Mina Blair
Ultros
PS4
Movistar (edited it wasn't claro)
Peru

No one is getting mad, ffs. We are trying to figure a solution since people ARE calling their isp while asking here. We can't even load the forum, so don't tell its the usual problem since July.

I have a different issue but it started happening at the same time.My ping increased from 130ms-135ms to 220ms-235ms (I'm being routed through EU).This issue was fixed four months ago but it's happening again.I'm from Puerto Rico and my ISP is Claro.

I may be wrong, but taking all posts here and resuming each ones issues, I can barely say that: All internet provider companies affiliated with Telefonica is presenting the same trouble to access any of the Square Products, thinking that way, I guess Global Telefonica is with technical problem or even suffering some kind of attack focused on us americans from south to north, since lately the FFXIV servers was being frequently attacked, and lots of maintenances was being made to fix.
Hope I am wrong about this conceipt, this is only one analisys I created pointing the current events of latest two months.

I'm from Brazil and my ISP is VIVO.
I can't access any of the SE network's websites. Got to be able to access it through VPN so I could post about this issue.
Country: Brazil
ISP: Vivo
SO: Windows 10 32 bits
Version: Steam version
I've been playing since last year until last wednesday everything was working fine.. now I can't read the official forums.. Mogstation.. log in to the game. Nothing Works (yes, I tried many wasy to try fix this - including reinstalation).
We really need an official response about this problem.
