Stone Vigil Weapon Drops

I don't think it's a bug, but something is way off about Stone Vigil drops, I've been farming the place for the Janbiya's for a week straight and haven't seen them drop. I've seen every other weapon drop in the place more than a handful of times. I've had my run of the mil back luck with RNG but this is ridiculous even for FFXIV.

Has anyone else experienced this with this dungeon specifically when farming for one or more of the weapons?

Curious to know if I'm just having the worst personal RNG ever or if there is indeed some issue with the weapon drops there?

Not really, you can't lump rolls together. Each roll has chance to drop independently of others.

I'm fully aware that it's a % chance every time to get any of the weapons but it seems unusually high for it to not drop a week straight, when as I said literally every other weapon has dropped at least 4-5 times, sometimes in a row. I went through the same thing on a certain jacket in arboretum but it only took maybe 20 tries to get vs over a hundred at this point. My main point tho was to ask if anyone else has had this problem with this specific dungeon.

I've seen it drop in past, not sure if something changed. And SV isn't a dungeon I do often.

I found myself running Skalla for at least a week and a half trying to get the caster gloves to complete my set. I was in the same position as you - literally every other piece of loot dropped multiple times before I got what I needed. Different dungeon I know, but I highly, highly doubt there's a bug in Stone Vigil (heck, I even thought that too with Skalla). It's just RNG being a sadistic ass.

I can see Skalla but I think the difference is the numbers, while you could run Skalla a few times a day, it only takes me 4 mins roughly to run through Stone Vigil and combine that with 2-3 hours of non stop running in a week it just seems rather off. I ran 2 other dungeons for glam both of them dropped within ~20 runs, but these daggers just don't want to drop I guess, might just skip it and go back to relic.

I recently ran SV about five times with my squad. iirc, that weapon did not drop, but I wasn't targeting it either. However, I farmed haukke manor HM for nearly a week going after manor varnish before I finally got some pots. I seriously questioned Garland's info when it wasn't dropping, then dropped three runs in a row.

It is entirely possible to be that unlucky, especially chasing after a particular weapon which is usually accompanied by a large pool of possible drops.

I had the same problem looking for the DRK weapon from that same dungeon, finally dropped after a little over 30 runs.

Incidentally the Jambiyas dropped when I ran it earlier today for leveling roulette. ಠ_ಠ

at one point i was trying to farm SV for Capella (the AST wpn) and all i would ever end up with was copy after copy after copy of Ars Notoria (the SCH book). i got friends to help me once. then Capella dropped =p

i also wanted the two books from Castrum Abania (Ethica and Aurora) and time after time after time all that would drop would be the Samurai wpn. =p RNGesus
