Selling house

Is it still against the rules to try and sell your house? I am planning on leaving the server I’m on, but I don’t want to just relinquish my house and get nothing back from it. However, I am scared of getting banned from trying to sell it. I tried going on the main reddit page, but it’s against the rules to make posts about it there, and the housing market subreddit hasn’t helped either.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes it is still against the terms of service, although I don't know how aggressive they are about enforcing it. If the timer was active atm the moment I'd say let your house auto demolish but I believe it is still turned off because of the hurricanes earlier in the year. The only other suggestion I can make is wait until they announce what exactly the planed for changes to the housing system in 3.2 as the ability to relinquish your house for a refund has been a requested feature (also they might turn the timer back on in 3.2).

If you transferring to a preferred server I believe there is a way to get a partial refund for the cost of the plot.

Stop spreading false information. It is not against to sell house, as long you dont do it for profit.
I.e you bought it for ex. 3.75M then sell it for 4M = profit

There isn't anything in the Terms of Service which directly forbids house selling. Those who have been punished for it have - as far as I can determine - been done so for breaking paragraph 3.2 "Disruption. You may not in any way disrupt or interfere with the Game experience of other players, including the disruption of Square Enix's computers and servers." which can cover nearly anything that SE don't like you doing in the game.

Selling a house for a "reasonable" price is probably okay. Charging excessive amount of money for a house is not okay, nor buying and selling houses on a regular basis.

Gray area, if they find out and Wana Ban you they can or they can just ignore you and say is fine, as long you ain't selling it for 60mil + like Shirogane xD
