Add Swimming to Limsa Lower Decks

Something minor and small, but could we get swimming added to Limsa since the city is filled with water?

The only issue I can see is not being able to jump into the water from the Upper Decks since the Lower Decks seen in that section is not the same. So at least the Lower Decks would be nice, especially the area around the Fisher Guild and Rouge Guild.

I think it would also please the new players that started in that city as well, cause then they would be like "Oh wow! This game has swimming!" and give them something to look forward to later on.

Seems like hardly anyone swims as it is doesn't really seem necessary , I literally never see anyone swimming at all

Swimming now isn't really a popular thing unless you have to swim. And I never see anyone hang out in lower decks..

I see people hang out in the lower decks all the time around the aethershard and marketboards, just not around the bottom half of the map.

If you have access to Limsa, you also have access to Costa del Sol. Swimming is already in Costa del Sol.

Adding swimming there would be popular for a few days at most and people would get bored of it and act like it doesn't exist save for the occasional event involving it. At most you'd just see people afk in the water just because they can.

To me, it was more of the idea of having at least one major city with swimming in it. You do have swimming in Rhalgr's Reach though, which plenty do swim there. I can't agrue the Costa Del Sol though.

maybe my server is boring I dont see people swiming there either maybe if people could swim underwater in these areas would be more popular, but as it stands now the feature to swim has turned out to be kinda forgettable it seems

It's not that I don't agree or dislike the idea. It's just that there's nothing there to draw attention to it. Even Costa del Sol is a ghost town aside from Leves or MSQ/Class quests. If they'd add something to draw a crowd there it'd be useful and warranted. It reminds me of the Ruby Sea. All that wasted space. It's pretty but I can only hope they plan to really make it useful.

It's really a shame issues like this exist because many areas, city and abroad alike, are absolutely beautiful.

I can agree that it most certainly has died off and become a forgettable thing. I think part of that is that the 4.0 zones have flying where you can swim; and any old zones with swimming in it simply has nothing to do there anymore. That's why I see people swim in Rhalgr's Reach, it's more that they're crossing the river as a shortcut due to lack of flight.

The idea is a nice one but I suppose it would be a waste of resources. When I think about it, it would be to have it for the sake of it in the grand scheme of things.
