Hello, i just returned after a very Long break from this game and im told you can be scholar even if your a summoner, but, that cannot be true.
Im level 70 summoner and when im at the spot to join the class, the icon is red and i cannot join the class.
What am i missing?
(i made a new character so this is not it that you see here.)

If you don't see it at that location, check your Journal and see if you already picked it up. If it's not there, look at the "Follow-up Quest".

You need to be an Arcanist, so unequip the soul crystal first.

Wee, it worked, it was because i had the smn crystal on
Now i have done the quest and got the SCH crystal, but i cant equip that, it says i need to be arcane... but i am Help?

You’ll need to have a book that is for scholars/arcanists, not summoners/arcanists

:O I have no gear.. It's so hard to come back :/ I got no gear for the Scholar because all my 70 gear for SMN is not working for that.
Do i Really need to buy gear from market? Cant i do some quest on my SMN and pick rewards for the Scholar? I doubt i can run quest "naked" on my Scholar

Any help would be nice please?

If you've completed the Stormblood leveling MSQ (up through the first level 70 dungeon and trial) you can buy level 70 gear with Poetic tomes if you have them to spare. You could also do dungeons on summoner and greed all the healer gear.

First open Character and click the Recommended Gear button which will equip anything you already have.

After that, go to a merchant at a city or a market board and buy some gear if you still need it. If you are past the level 50 quest you can exchange poetics for gear with the blue bag icon at city aetherytes.
