Again, gloating and boasting. You do realise your char card is meaningless? All that shows me, from your talk of PoTD, is that you have a whole bunch of 70s you near enough leeched up without the use of any skill and more than likely with no knowledge of how to actually use them. You can wave it all you want, point is, it means nothing.
Currently you speak like you're the only person who knows how to play in PoTD, when in actual fact you're clearly displaying that you don't even know how to. Traps can be harmful to the group, of course, but that's what makes PoTD even slightly enjoyable, reacting to them going off. You can't be timid with this content, just get in there, know how to survive and overcome all the setbacks, that's what makes you good at it. Being a coward and hanging back, slowing it all down is not always a good thing, if it ever is. You can go into PoTD 'all guns blazing' and still play it smart.
The best way to level if you're a DPS and you're alone, is to spam FATEs/complete challenge log as you wait for your queue to pop (Some dungeons and leave the roulettes for later, since they give proportional EXP based on my level). Tanks and healers can shine with instant/almost instant queues for dungeons.
1. The best and fastest way to play PotD is just... run through. At 99/99 on floor 51-60, no traps are dangerous enough to warrant being cautious. Besides, if you did play PotD enough... you would know that just staying on the outside edges of a room skips all traps since traps don't spawn on the outer edges 99.9% of the time.
2. As for PotD being better for DPS. No. Just no.
The math has proven it is flat out wrong. Not only that, but waiting for your queue gives you a break (the queue) and nets more exp than just banging your head against PotD repeatedly. Watch a youtube video, paint your nails, do some crafting while you wait - it's more rewarding than hitting 1 over and over.
Not to mention the vender for potd sells potions that have a really nice regen, which are a godsend especially when soloing. I have never seen a bomb trap bring anyone to 0 health if they were at 100% hp. OP you claim you understand potd, but clearly you don't.... the numbers go against what you are claiming to be true. All I can do is laugh hysterically at that. If you are so timid you have to stay back from everything, you're part of the problem for slowing it all down. Get some guts and use your tools to survive a trap if one goes off. They only deal roughly 50% hp, and every job has some form of heal... and brown chests just throw out potions if one is in your path.
If I have a job I don't want to do dungeons with at all, what is breakdown of where I should be leveling?
Guys, much as I agree Zexy can be a pain, do we really need to get riled up like this just because they posted an opinion piece? I agree the music and flow is better in POTD. The thing I’m most alarmed about is that they aren’t tanking/taking the lead because of green slimes... they should be protecting the healer so if someone does die like that, they can raise the fallen party member. Let’s focus on why you disagree rather than stooping to Zexy’s level and posting equally inflammatory responses.
Unless you’re posting /popcorn because seriously some of you are just as bad as Zexy...

We’re all advocating for the type of game we want to see. Mine just happens to clash with yours. I like a story driven game, where people can come together as a community, and defeat challenges based on a PVE format. I want to work together. [snip] You’re not gonna like what I say, but I’m gonna say it regardless because I want Square Enix to hear the other side.
That's not what people have been disagreeing about, it's this:
He is stating false information as fact, and people have already replied with the maths to prove why it's a false statement. That line is not put as an opinion.
For newer players, statements like this is harmful as they could take it as genuine help. They'll feel they should follow it for better exp, when in actual fact they're just making themselves grind over and over tons of times on something when about 3-4 dungeons would have done it.
