Sirensong gives you 1.2M XP at Lv 61 without rested XP and almost 1.7M with.
if you're a DPS with horrible queue times maybe but for a PLD, "still the best resource to gain exp after 60." is completely false.

This is wrong from several PoVs.Potd gives ----->You gain 583200 (+50%) gladiator experience points. and still the best resource to gain exp after 60. This is because the runs are easy and less stress than traditional dungeon. The music is great and teams vary in their differences and styles and you get to meet more people than in any other venue. When your roulette's, weeklies and dailies are done play Potd for exp
1. The net gain of Potd is lower then Sirensong (lvl. 61), 0.6 Mil VS. 1.7 Mil.
Even with cleartime compared Sirensong wins.
If you include queuetime it may swing towards Potd for DPS role only.
If you go any further in level Potd will lose even more ground.
2. Easyness
Potd is not only easy, it is so easy you could sleep while playing and complete it anyway.
This makes it boring and unpreferable to farm.
3. varrying teams and styles
Varrying teams can shake up the boredom but it can do even more.
Depending on the party constellation the runtime is even more varrying then a normal dungeon also the different styles you can encounter are a problem.
All parties with full exploration or multi-tank/multi-heal parties are stretching the cleartime and tipping the balance towards normal dungeons.
4. meeting people
This may varry from DC to DC but on mine I find far less people talking in Potd, mostly not even a "Hi" at the beginning.
Also you can meet 3 people at max, the same amount of dungeons.
In trials you can meet up to 7 people.
Also I met many people in a PF created just for meeting people...
5. music (subjective/opinion)
The music is great but the complete randomness gives me mostly unimmersuve music or even just two to four tracks over a day...
Just the subjectivity of this argument makes it invalid.
In conclusion Potd is NOT the best ressource to gain EXP after Level 60.
It can be preferable for 61 or maybe 62 but at least then even DPS gain more EXP per minute from dungeons, including queuetimes.
Thanks to DiamondOrion and SendohJin for the assistance in providing numbers.

I swear by queueing highest level dungeon after 60 to level up. This is because the runs are easy and there's no stress anyways in leveling dungeons. The music is great and teams vary in their differences and style and you get to meet more people than PotD queues where every three runs you see the same guy again also binge leveling in PotD. When your roulettes, weeklyies and dailies are done, queue highest level dungeon for exp and gear.

As I am familiar with Diamond’s postings lately and commented in quite a few of their threads, I’m finding myself slightly agreeing with Leera. And since the topic is starting to go in this direction, might as well comment on it. True, Diamond has done quite a few inflammatory things on the forums and even more, from what I understand, on their server’s novice network. So it is true that they have built up quite a negative reputation, which isn’t helped by their mud-slinging that they throw back at other posters. But with that being said, it really has nothing to do with this thread. Reputation or no, there have been plenty of threads here started by someone that pass something off as fact when it may or may not be the case, depending on user experience.
Maybe in their experience, PoTD is the best solution, especially if they are maining a DPS class and the queue times on their server is long. I do have to agree with other posts, though, that once you hit 60, PoTD is definitely not the best place to level, unless you’re trying to level while farming shards, aetherpool, or bags. Regardless of queue, unless it’s in excess of 30minutes, which is a ridiculous long wait time just to get in a dungeon, PoTD is perhaps the next best option outside of PvP runs, but even that has been nerfed.
Tanks, especially, should not be using PoTD at 60+…hell, they really shouldn’t be using it just for leveling at all.
This wasn’t a toxic topic. The information is wrong for the most part, but it’s not toxic, nor does it require toxic responses based solely on a user’s reputation. Correct them. Debate the information provided. But what I’m seeing is the same folks who are rallying against one user entering the topic and essentially sinking to their level just to get a shot in. If the user, Diamond in this case, decides to attack another user, then fine, go ahead and respond back. But I hadn’t seen any bad posts from Diamond yet – all I saw were other posters firing off inflammatory messages.
How’s that old saying go? Don’t cast the first stone.
Here we go again...
There is something in POTD even after 60 - particularly if you don't have any roulettes left and you're a dps stuck with 30-40 minute queues. (surprisingly, you're not earning any XP when stuck in a queue). You can get it done 3-4 times in the space of an hour, and that's 2.1 million XP you wouldn't get sitting in a DF queue. I do it now and then when the queues are long and the mood stikes me. Sometimes I'll solo it, it takes longer but can be more interesting that way.
I don't think EVERYTHING has to be the most efficient/per hour at all times, as long as you're having some fun its all good.
Except there are ways to change that.
Daily HW hunts, while not tons of EXP, have a double benefit - small amount of EXP and Centurio Seals you can use for riding maps/glamour gears/minions/purchase of manuals to help upgrade gear a bit faster(believe it's the Mythic ones for SB gears - 4 per accessory upgrade item, 6 for non-belt/weapon left side). Combine that with the SB daily hunts(give much better EXP, and same seals), and you can get pretty decent EXP in a day(and gil...3-4 of the monsters give enough gil to cover the teleporting if you are going through the maps in a big circle without much switchbacking).
There is also the beast tribes you can do for EXP(Kobold/Sahagin/Amalj'aa/Sylph for under 50, Vath/Vanu Vanu for 50-60, and Kojin for 60+).
And as an absolute last resort...FATE farming.
Bingo babe you said what I was going to say ..... this exactly what I am saying 2.1 million running 3 to 4 times per hour with good music, stress-less, and varying team mates. thank you so much XiXiQThere is something in POTD even after 60 - particularly if you don't have any roulettes left and you're a dps stuck with 30-40 minute queues. As you can see by my character card that I am a Grandmaster of War and my last tank is at 60 with 4,873,000 exp till 61. I have worked hard to get to 60 and my dailies, weeklies and roulette's have been run I'm tired and i want to get to 61 before i go to bed. Easiest, stress less, and most fun thing to do is to run potd. My potd gear is 99,99 so I have no fear of dyeing or wiping at any stage or any floor. I am so experienced I know when the team may wipe and avoid being around them when this may happen. I never run to enemies I always pull toward me to avoid wipe traps. During prime times of game play running floors 51 to 100 yields 583k + 583k + 583k + 583k + 853k = almost 3 million exp. If your a tank and under geared? just enjoy the team and tank when needed. Yes potd is still useful after 60. Don't like floors 51 to 100? just repeat floors 51 to 60 they are always filled up fast ...
